Working with colleagues who love what they do and are deeply committed to our Mission, you too can be part of our transformation across the enterprise.   Program Coordinator, Resident & Fellow Research Community Education-Outreach Full-Time     Position Description:   The Program Coordinator, Resident & Fellow Research, reporting to the Senior Director of EI Outcomes and Scholarly Activity, will provide support and coordination for HSS EI Programs for all matters related to data analysis, outcomes reporting, faculty and trainee scholarship, Academic Training research, and quality and process improvement initiatives.  The Program Coordinator supports all sponsored programs in the following areas: resident and fellow research projects, resident and fellow grant funding, resident and fellow scholarship as defined under the ACGME Common Program Requirements and enhancing the knowledge and practice of the scholarly approach to evidence-based patient care.   Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Supports the SD, EI Outcomes & Scholarly Activity in ensuring compliance of the Sponsoring Institution with the ACGME Institutional Requirements for scholarly pursuits and availability of resources to support ongoing scholarship. - Ensure that each ACGME-accredited program is in substantial compliance with the ACGME Common and specialty/subspecialty-specific program requirements for resident and fellow scholarly activities. Accomplishes this aim by periodically meeting with each program to promote scholarly activities and build effective relationships. - Consults with investigators and faculty mentors for new and ongoing research and quality improvement projects. - Coordinates the Annual Mathias P. G. Bostrom Chief Resident Research Presentations as well as the Annual Chief Fellow Research Presentations - Supports the process for analysis of data and preparation of manuscripts and scientific presentations. Guides the development of data capture and monitoring plans to maintain quality. - Assists in development and execution of projects that enhance the scholarly activity of GME Residents and Fellows, as well as students where appropriate ( e.g. QCC initiatives). - Supports Course Director for Resident Research, Evidence Based Medicine, and Resident Statistics educational modules. - Identifies collaborative research opportunities, including poster competitions, workshops, webinars, and other Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs. - Supports the development and maintenance of research tools, such as spreadsheets, questionnaires and/or brochures to support GME requirements. - Contributes to various reports for GME including the Annual Institutional Review (AIR). - Educates faculty and residents/fellows on established policies, processes, and procedures for trainee scholarly pursuits. - Assists in development of evaluation tools that effectively capture the necessary data required. - Support and mentor Residents and Fellows in Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and Clinical Review Panels (CRPs) - Develop regular data reports and dashboards to track program performance and outcomes. - Organize team meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes. - Address ad-hoc data requests and projects for changing ACGME requirement and for all EI initiatives.

This role encompasses coordinating data, evaluation, research, quality and process improvement initiatives within the Community Education and Outreach Department (CE&O) and Academic Training (AT) as well as EI initiatives to other departments.   Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Coordinate the implementation of the NYS Community Service Plan as well as the planning, implementation, and analysis of the HSS Community Health Needs Assessment. - Support the collection and reporting of measurable outcomes concerning Community Benefit efforts for HSS Community Benefit Programming. - Assist in overseeing data collection, statistical analysis, and reporting for all EI programs, including CE&O, AT, and scholarly activities of faculty and trainees. - Support the implementation of data management systems, identify evaluation tools, and develop strategies to measure the impact of EI programs. - Support the development of new and managing existing dashboards using Tableau to assess the impact and outcomes of all EI programs and processes. - Coordinate Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions for all Education protocols and the Education & Social Services Clinical Review Panel (CRP) under the Research Institutue. - Conduct literature reviews, interviews, and focus groups to inform program development, evaluation, and research. - Develop regular data reports and dashboards to track program performance and outcomes. - Organize team meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes. - Coordinate survey development and implementation across CE&O programs. - Coordinate data requests across EI by evaluating and prioritizing requests. - Provide data support for abstracts, manuscripts, and grant submissions to national conferences and peer-reviewed journals. - Support the development and execution of projects enhancing the scholarly activity of GME Residents, Fellows, and students. - Support continuous quality improvement (CQI), research and quality improvement activities across EI. - Provide data support for the development of the EI Annual Report and the Community Benefit Report. - Address ad-hoc data requests and projects within EI as necessary.

Dr. McAnany is an Assistant Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery. He specializes in the evaluation and treatment of degenerative spine conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, with special interests in minimally invasive surgery. In this role you will provide comprehensive administrative/operational support to an HSS physician practice and contribute to an environment of clinical excellence. The Engineer I reports and receives direction from the Plant Engineer and designee.   The incumbent is guided by experience and knowledge of HVAC plant operations including, but not limited to a strong basic knowledge in the operation of utilities and power plant equipment, chillers, pumps, steam systems, and those skills to recognize issues and able to maintain these systems.   WORK PERFORMED: - Performs a variety of duties in maintaining and repairing plant and facilities utility systems. - Assists in making decisions on all normal and minor repairs and reports problems to the Plant Manager or designee. - Ability to read blueprints, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings. - Operates chillers, pumps, air handling units, package units, exhaust systems, water treatment systems, cooling towers, compressors, medical gas systems, fire alarms, fire suppression and detection systems, and emergency generators to ensure the reliability of systems, facility comfort, and safety of staff and guests. - Performs necessary preventive maintenance on facility equipment as assigned by Plant Manger or designee. - Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs, installs, and diagnoses malfunctions of HVAC equipment, refrigeration and ice makers, basic electrical systems, and other utilities found throughout the campus properties. - Strong ability to identify system issues and troubleshoot problems to restore to proper operation. - Can work alone to solve basic utility problems. - Be able operate Building Management Systems to monitor and control HVAC systems. - Responds to HVAC issues throughout the facility to ensure an overall comfortable environment. - Maintains shops, mechanical spaces, and engineering spaces for overall safety and cleanliness. - Maintains daily logs, performs daily rounds, and completes corrective and preventive maintenance work orders and inspections as assigned by Plant Manager or designee. - Performs a variety of building service duties including, but not limited to: - Respond to emergency issues in the facility and makes emergency repairs as needed. - Responds to fire alarms, to assist Security, and acts as needed within a healthcare setting. - Works with service contractors to grant access to mechanical spaces and ensure safe working practices. - Works with construction services to coordinate the issuing of fire suppression and detection permits for equipment settings. - Walk across campus as required to other properties. - Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and guests. - Schedule Requirements: - Maybe required to work a variety of shifts/ schedules. - Available to work overtime as needed.
