Accomplishes this aim by periodically meeting with each program to promote scholarly activities and build effective relationships. - Consults with investigators and faculty mentors for new and ongoing research and quality improvement projects. - Coordinates the Annual Mathias P. The Assistant Director will be involved with all aspects of these initiatives, including but not limited to: clinical and operational programming, facility design and development, staffing, equipment and supply procurement, go-live implementation. - Coordinates repairs/maintenance calls and tracks survey/review of items that require regular evaluation (i.e. fire extinguishers). - Responsible for ensuring a clean and well-functioning physical plant environment; ensures required medical/administrative supplies, equipment, and furniture are available, in appropriate working order, and in the quantities required for the team. Culture - In alignment with HSS’ goals, fosters a workplace culture that encourages respect, trust, empathy, and support - Ensures a respectful and safe physical environment for patients and staff - Fosters an inclusive culture and team approach, in a highly matrixed organization, to both daily work functions as well as performance improvement initiatives. - Serves as a mentor for emerging leaders. - Builds productive professional relationships with physicians and their staff. Leadership - Challenges the status quo by developing and championing new ideas that add value to the organization; specifically (and continuously) assessing and improving Center operations and systems, with particular focus on enhancing the patient experience. - Develops, implements, and manages projects and initiatives using a systematic approach to translate work plans into actionable components and measurable outcomes. - Collaborates with leadership team to set priorities/goals - Serves on a variety of enterprise-wide committees and initiatives
