The goal of the value management office is to accelerate the development of capabilities to deliver the highest quality and best value musculoskeletal care to the patients we serve. The business fellow will have the opportunity to gain exposure to the development and deployment of high value musculoskeletal care solutions with the unmatched clinical and operational expertise, data assets, and analytical skills found only at HSS. Key focus areas of value include measurement and communication, care delivery redesign, innovative tool development, research, education, and advocacy.   The business fellow will be required to act as a project manager in the conceptualization, design, and validation of a novel quality measure for improving diagnosis for orthopedic conditions. This role will be 9 months in duration and will report directly to the Assistant Vice President. The role will allow for exposure to multiple aspects of HSS including leading clinicians, Information Technology, and analytics. External stakeholders will include foundations, think tanks, and health systems. The Role HSS would like to recruit an Associate General Counsel.  Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, this person will serve as a key member of the hospital’s Legal Department, supporting many areas of hospital operations.  The Associate General Counsel will handle a wide range of medical staff issues, including medical staff bylaws and credentialing and professional conduct matters.  The Associate General Counsel will handle physician employment agreements, research employment agreements, and medical services agreements. The Associate General Counsel will support the hospital’s Education Institute by handling affiliation agreements, alliance agreements, graduate medical education issues and related workgroups.  The Associate General Counsel will also support the Marketing department by reviewing agreements, reviewing marketing collateral and handling communications/media issues.  The Associate General Counsel will support various other hospital Departments through policy development and review and workgroup participation.  The Associate General Counsel will handle employment matters such as EEOC complaints and human resources policies. The Associate General Counsel may also assist the Compliance department on internal investigations.

To that end, the Business Analyst will partner and work collaboratively with service line leadership to support departmental performance and standardization of KPIs across all service lines.     ​Reporting to the Senior Director of Physician Practice Optimization & Special Projects, the Business Analyst will be responsible for operational implementation of process changes and business standardization, subject matter expertise related to workflow optimization analysis, data visualization prep and management, and presentation support for Service Lines Chief Administrators. Serve as resource to provide depth support to the Service Lines teams on operating expense management, budgeting, capital planning, etc.   Key responsibilities:​ - Identify operational challenges and suggest problem-solving strategies to enhance team effectiveness. - Facilitate systems improvement to determine standards and priorities. Participate as team member by providing input and knowledge of systems operations and financials to achieve operational and strategic goals. ​ - Complete current and future state assessments, root cause analyses, organization, and environment analysis, formulate and present recommendations and action plans for improvement to Service Lines leadership. ​ - Create and maintain monthly status updates on strategic programs or initiatives with significant ROI to be used by leadership teams and governance committees. - Create and maintain monthly performance metrics to be used by Service Chiefs as a tool to engage Medical Staff in Enterprise performance. - Collaborate with HSS’ Center for Analytics, Modeling, and Performance (CAMP) team to create, manage, and optimize reporting and dashboard visualization tools. - Provide in-depth support on operational logistics, including project management, operational management systems, and best practice performance standards. - Assist Service Lines leaders in business plan documentation.
