Position Overview:
LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse
Scope of Duties:
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams (Registration, Radiology, Physician Practice Management, Physical Therapy)

Overview:
The Assistant Patient Care Director will support oversight of the clinical and operational functions of the Pre/Post Anesthesia Department of The HSS ASC of Manhattan on a 24-hour basis. The candidate will serve as a clinical resource /expert in the operating rooms, both scrub and circulating roles. The Assistant Patient Care Director will be a change facilitator. Responsibilities include working with the Senior Director, surgeon and anesthesia teams and supporting HSS ASC of Manhattan departments to set goals and objectives in accordance with HSS ASC of Manhattan Governing Board and enterprise wide strategic initiatives, as well as planning, organizing, and monitoring day to day unit activities, including staffing and scheduling, in the Department. The Assistant PCD will partner closely with the Senior Director with the fiscal responsibility for the unit, facilitating efficient and cost-effective daily operations. The Assistant Patient Care Director will assist with management and evaluation of unit performance and effectiveness of staff while establishing an environment where both staff and patients are able to reach their full potential. The Assistant Patient Care Director will coordinate and lead unit activities to assure optimal and appropriate care for all age groups in the unit specific population, consistent with the Mission Statement, philosophy and goals of The HSS ASC of Manhattan and the HSS enterprise. The Assistant Patient Care Director will collaborate with the Medical Leadership of the HSS ASC of Manhattan as a Member of the Medical Executive Committee and QAPI committee, to promote the highest standards of safety and clinical excellence, and quality and performance improvement and is critical to the mission and governance of the HSS ASC of Manhattan. The Assistant Patient Care Director understands the Magnet Program and culture; and integration of Magnet standards into the nursing department
Responsibilties:

Summary:
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Medical Assistant performs delegated duties related to patient care activities and procedures with a varied level of acuity.
