This includes both a ride (with two routes) and a start/finish line festival. The Director will oversee and direct all aspects of BIKE HSS, including email fundraising and communications; rider recruitment, management, and engagement; corporate sponsorship program development and corporate team management; marketing and social media; community engagement; staff and volunteer management; collateral design and branding;, management of vendors and contracts, and contract execution; and event production and logistics.      The Director will work closely and collaboratively with Service Line fundraisers and Directors of Development to engage BIKE HSS physician leaders and physician riders to maximize grateful patient fundraising.  The Director will collaborate with members of the Development Operations team on gift processing, budgeting, and constituent data management, and the Development Communications and Digital Fundraising team on all fundraising and stewardship communications. Additionally, the Director will have management responsibility, managing and mentoring the Manager of Rider Engagement and Communications, as well as new positions that will be created as the event grows. The Director will also manage the relationship with the ride production consultant who is responsible for all ride and venue logistics, including routing, permitting, signage, staffing, ride management, safety, etc.   The Director will cultivate and steward important relationships with event leadership, HSS physician teams, corporate sponsors/partners, and HSS athlete partners. The Director will develop and execute a plan to increase rider and team participation, increase donor and rider retention, expand upon an existing marketing plan to include e-marketing, grassroots marketing, and marketing collateral, in order to ensure the success of this ambitious growth opportunity.     The right candidate will have a strategic growth mindset, while being detail oriented, bringing a high level of energy and enthusiasm to leading Bike HSS.    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   - Oversee internal physician participation and fundraising management, coordinating with Development fundraisers - Maximize the involvement of the Physician Fundraising Committee leadership and create an internal communication plan to grow and retain physician participants - Plan, implement, and grow a rider recruitment and retention strategy - Plan, implement, and grow a community engagement strategy - Develop and implement a corporate sponsorship strategy, including creating recruitment materials and impact reports, planning and attending on-site tabling events, etc. - Manage the peer-to-peer fundraising platform at BikeHSS.org and ensure all information is kept current and messaging is compelling and effectively positioned - Manage BIKE HSS vendors and consulting relationships and review, negotiate, approve and process all vendor contracts, in collaboration with HSS legal and insurance departments - Prepare and manage budgets and oversee the processing of invoices and check requests - Coordinate with the Development Operations team to ensure all BIKE HSS gifts are processed, acknowledged, and correctly credited - Oversee the design, copy, and production of all program/event collateral, including printed material, email communications, signage, incentives and giveaways, etc. - Recruit and manage event volunteer base - Collaborate closely with colleagues both within the Development Department, and across the organization - Expand current event model into a year-round program of fundraising, marketing, and communication focused on rider and donor engagement and retention - Participate in the strategic planning process for the growth of the BIKE HSS program to include re-branding, mission messaging, participant testimonials, impact reporting, etc. - Fulfill other duties as needed Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s Degree - Minimum of 5 years of event management experience in a leadership role required - Peer-to-peer fundraising event management experience highly desired   Competencies and Personal Characteristics:  - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Superior organizational skills, accuracy and precision in handling details - Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and a database management system, such as Raiser’s Edge - Flexibility to participate in evening/weekend events and to travel, as needed - Positive can-do attitude - Dedication to advancing the mission of HSS

Dr. Albert specializes in the field of orthopedic spine surgery focusing on disorders of the cervical spine. He has an interest in minimally invasive surgical techniques and image-guided technologies in the management of spinal disorders. Dr. Albert is seeking a Per Diem RN to join his team.   Overview:   Serving as an assistant to Dr. Albert, duties will include performing history and physical exams in clinic, pre and post- operative patient education, completion of patient forms and letters, completion of prior authorizations, answering clinical calls and relaying results from to patients. Flexibility is needed in this role, as you will provide additional support to the physician, and current physician assistant in the office.  You will interact closely with patients and families and be an integral part of developing great patient and collegial relationships.     Duties and Essential Job Functions - Performs documentation in Epic under physician supervision - Enters patient prescription requests in Epic for fulfillment by the physician - Performs patient call backs for tests results as per physician instructions - Triages patient phone calls and responds to clinical concerns as needed and per physician instructions - Follow up calls to patients who had surgery on the prior day - Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.   Required Qualifications/Skills: - BSN, RN - Orthopedic experience is preferred - Must be a team player that knows how to respectfully and appropriately with colleagues and patients

S/he supervises and helps facilitate the four-surgeon service’s research from project conception to publication. About 20 clinical research projects are continually in various phases of completion and must be maintained. Applicants should commit to at least 3 years in this role, with the preference for a longer-term commitment.   Responsibilities - As there is also an annual in-office pre/medical-student researcher, one primary responsibility of the CRC is responsible for ensuring continuity of quality and project management from year to year. The CRC should acclimate and oversee the annual student researcher in patient survey collection, basic scientific article skills (fundamental spreadsheet and statistics use), and project management. - Although the student researcher may help, another primary responsibility of the CRC is IRB management: preparing new study documents, maintaining existing projects, and writing amendments or other formal documents to ensure compliance and continuity of study eligibility. - The CRC will follow patients who have been enrolled studies to ensure surveys and other milestone metrics and follow-ups are performed and collected. - The CRC should actively seek opportunities to coordinate and collaborate with other services and research divisions (e.g. statisticians, anesthesia department, spine department), to diversify the research and the communication between LLCRS and other services. - The CRC will oversee two databases. One, is REDCap, the database log of all patients who have had surgery. Two, is the Photo Database, a Windows Network-secure drive of photos and video of patients at various phases of care; the CRC will import media there upon direction. - Along with the student researcher, to direct weekly research meetings where progress, obstacles, and other tasks are discussed. The CRC should be responsible for formatting, submitting, and following up on projects submitted to journals. Necessary skills include: - Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office and Google Suite) - PC/Windows use - Self-motivated work; the job is mostly remote and therefore not directly supervised - Works efficiently under pressure and time constraints.   Desirable skills include: - Statistics software proficiency (especially R-language) - Automation or templating skills   We are looking for someone who is willing to fill this position for a minimum three year commitment. A Bachelor’s degree with experience in research, healthcare, and/or the sciences preferred.
