The Role HSS would like to recruit an Assistant General Counsel.  Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer and Associate General Counsel, this person will serve as a key member of the hospital’s Legal Department, supporting many areas of hospital operations.  The Assistant General Counsel will handle physician employment agreements, research employment agreements, and medical services agreements.  The Assistant General Counsel will provide support on medical staff issues (including medical staff bylaws and credentialing and professional conduct matters.  The Assistant General Counsel will support various other hospital Departments through review of agreements, policy development and review and workgroup participation.  The Assistant General Counsel will also support other members of the HSS Legal team on matters involving the HSS Research Institute and the HSS Education Institute.

The Senior Director will then lead the establishment of the Shared Services team (addressing level 1 and level 2 inquires), including defining roles, selecting and training team members. Finally, the Senior Director will be responsible for leading the Shared Services team, including setting service standards, creating team awareness across HSS, and establishing a team culture of HR Support Excellence and continuous process improvement. Over time, additional areas of responsibility may be added to the HR Shared Services function. Accountabilities: - Work across HR to engage all team members in the documentation of all processes performed. On an ongoing basis, continue to revisit processes and identify on-going process improvements and opportunities to leverage technology, including, but not limited to Workday. - Partner strategically with HR Leadership team to develop a vision, structure and goals for the Shared Services team and the HR Operations function. Lead the implementation of determined vision and structure. - Develop the model by which the HR Shared Services team will address inquiries and interact with HR SME teams. Implement model, including training team members and creating tools and resources. - Establish SLAs and KPIs to measure operational and individual performance. Assists departmental leadership in collaborating with surgical and supply chain staff to maintain programs and processes designed to ensure compliance of service delivery standards. Acts as a liaison in effectively communicating with the surgical team and stakeholders. Assist in managing the flow of Arthroplasty, fracture management implants, and ancillary products including, but not limited to the following tasks.   Responsibilities:  - Assist in managing the flow of surgical supplies, utilizing electronic inventory systems. - Check inventory levels of surgical supplies in designated storage areas and report findings to the supervisor - Receive shipments of surgical supplies according to the vendor’s packing slip and report discrepancies to the supervisor - Place new shipments of surgical supplies in their designated storage area - Restock surgical supplies, according to established par levels - Dispose of all waste generated (primarily cardboard boxes) - Dispense implants and ancillary products to nurses on all perioperative units as required. - Check inventory levels on Space Saver and storage cabinets daily and generates requisitions for any needed implants or ancillary products. - Fill depleted implants sets as required. - Identify and request hardware (implants) that are needed to complete implant sets. Log that information on the “Incomplete Implant Trays Log Sheet” and review the logbook daily for timely completion of those sets. - Receive all Arthroplasty and hardware (implants) daily, log them onto their respective purchase requisition, and place them in appropriate implant set(s) or storage cabinet. Indicate back orders and notify the sales representative when they impact the future schedule. - Review the next day’s schedule when needed and notifies the appropriate sales representative. - Oversee the reception of loaner implant systems that are required for future cases. Identify loaner implants systems in temporary storage area that are not needed and arrange to have them removed. - Report to the operative suite to consult with the surgeon whenever their implant request is unclear. - Conduct daily inspection of dated implants and remove those that are nearing expiration date. - Assist in maintaining current implant tray count sheets. - Assist with the training of new Implant Technicians.

The Program Coordinator’s primary focus is on organizing and overseeing the daily operations and activities of the program(s) and assisting Program Director(s) and faculty with ensuring that the program(s) is in full compliance with all internally and externally relevant policies, procedures, regulations, requirements and professional standards. The Program Coordinator is a resource for the Academic Training Office, Program Director(s), teaching faculty, and trainees.   Core Duties and Responsibilities: - ​In conjunction with the Office of Academic Training, assists with ensuring the assigned GME training program(s) is/are in substantial compliance with the ACGME Common and Specialty/Sub-specialty-specific program requirements, ACGME policies and procedures, any other relevant specialty requirements, and internal HSS policies and procedures. - Organizes and prioritizes the daily activities of the residency/fellowship program trainees, faculty, and staff; monitors work progress status and ensures compliance with deadlines. - Provides program-level administrative support for recruitment, credentialing, appointment, orientation, reappointment, and graduation/termination of physician trainees.
