Candidate will be expected to escalate issue to management and keep manager and director informed of high visibility issues.  Successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, work to elevate the skills of the Desktop team. Candidate should have an associate degree or comparable work experience equivalent. 2-5 years’ experience preferred.                              Job Duties and Responsibilities - Excellent customer service skill. Our fellowship-trained radiologists are highly skilled in the interpretation of musculoskeletal ultrasound and routinely perform ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal interventional procedures. Our specialized technologists are uniquely trained in this high-volume musculoskeletal ultrasound practice. The Department focuses on both the imaging diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions/diseases and the treatment of specific conditions utilizing image guidance.   Position Summary:   The Sonographer position requires an individual trained at an accredited sonography program to apply learned skills to outpatient and inpatient procedures/studies in a hospital department setting. All functions are performed consistent with their education and training, and in accordance with facility, protocols, policies, and procedures, and applicable professional standards while ensuring the highest standards of safety for patients. The sonographer is also expected to properly store and maintain equipment, instruct patients on exams, and accurately log and document related information.

Day-to-day responsibilities of the RAs include consenting patients for research studies, obtaining clinical outcome scores, collecting data, collaborating with statisticians, writing abstracts and manuscripts, and preparing scientific presentations. The RA will have the opportunity to shadow the Orthopedic attendings in clinical and surgical arenas.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Conducts the informed consent process and oversees patient enrollment (requires appropriate training and certification of human research subjects training) - Act as a resource for patients enrolled in clinical studies - Act as a liaison between physicians and study participants - Spearheads efforts to meet patient enrollment targets related to independent research studies - Manages data collection for research studies including but not limited to: collecting clinical data directly from patients, performing measurements for applicable studies, and managing the performance of all other duties as put forth in the protocol.  - Ensures timely data collection and entry - Ensures accuracy of personnel transcribing data from a paper case report form (CRF) into an electronic format.  - Manages and executes all IRB submissions and ensures timeliness and accuracy of these submissions and no lapses in approvals for the study.  - Manages research funding budgets, payments and reimbursements. - Represents the Principal Investigator in departmental audits as well as external audits performed by representatives of the sponsor for each clinical research project.  Works closely with HSS internal monitor for guidance on these activities. - Prioritizes and schedules work activities to ensure that workflow is controlled and meets the need of the department. Communicates and maintains institutional/departmental policies, standard operating procedures, quality standards, improvement initiatives and external legal regulations/regulatory requirements.  - Leads weekly research meetings and updates and manages multiple research projects - Participates in clinical, bench and cadaveric research studies. - Has opportunities for authorship of scientific studies. - Has opportunity to shadow the clinicians in the office and OR.

The plan specifies many strategic initiatives to ensure that HSS continues as the world leader in musculoskeletal medicine and retains its high ranking in orthopedics.   Reporting directly to the Finance Assistant Director, he/she will be responsible for accounting and finance support for the Hospital’s Joint Ventures and Commercial Initiatives. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the accounting functions related to the establishment of joint ventures such as ambulatory surgery centers and other non-hospital initiatives.   The position requires outstanding accounting and finance skills. He/she will have worked successfully in a highly matrixed organizational structure and process excellent interpersonal and communication skills.   RESPONSIBILITIES:   The specific responsibilities for the accounting functions related to the establishment of joint ventures and other non-hospital initiatives include, but are not limited to: - Maintain the accounting structure in the general ledger system - Assist in management of financial issues surrounding the implementation of the initiatives and ventures - Assist in development of the budget for the venture(s) - Prepare journal entries relating to the ventures or initiatives - Prepare monthly financial analysis and monthly reporting - Prepare year-end reporting requirements and audit support - Prepare loan advance requests associated with new construction projects related to the venture(s) - Prepare billing to venture business partners - Prepare wire transfer requests as required - Assist with tax filings (both monthly and annual) for ventures and distribution statements for K-1s
