Candidate will be expected to escalate issue to management and keep manager and director informed of high visibility issues.  Successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, work to elevate the skills of the Desktop team. Candidate should have an associate degree or comparable work experience equivalent. 2-5 years’ experience preferred.                              Job Duties and Responsibilities - Excellent customer service skill. Our fellowship-trained radiologists are highly skilled in the interpretation of musculoskeletal ultrasound and routinely perform ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal interventional procedures. Our specialized technologists are uniquely trained in this high-volume musculoskeletal ultrasound practice. The Department focuses on both the imaging diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions/diseases and the treatment of specific conditions utilizing image guidance.   Position Summary:   The Sonographer position requires an individual trained at an accredited sonography program to apply learned skills to outpatient and inpatient procedures/studies in a hospital department setting. All functions are performed consistent with their education and training, and in accordance with facility, protocols, policies, and procedures, and applicable professional standards while ensuring the highest standards of safety for patients. The sonographer is also expected to properly store and maintain equipment, instruct patients on exams, and accurately log and document related information.

This position will exercise management responsibility over sponsored research while ensuring compliance with federal, foundations and regulatory agencies as well as HSS policies.   Duties and Responsibilities: - Responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Post Award Department. - Supervising Post Award staff members - This position is responsible for reviewing and processing all FSR’s and invoices related to Federal and Foundation awards. - Responsible for preparing financial analysis and meeting with Principal Investigators - Develops and recommends corrective action plans to address deficits. - Provide guidance on budget and financial policies to ensure adherence to institutional policies and standards. - Assist with the preparation of financial metrics for presentation to various PI’s and Leadership - Responsible for research financial management activities. Assists in reconciling budget to actual expense activity for all grants and contracts. - Responsible for overseeing procurement activities related to goods, services, and/or equipment and for disbursement/reimbursement activities as needed. - Responsible for overseeing the setting up new accounts in Research Administrations Financial System - Researches all financial discrepancies; contacts appropriate personnel to resolve issues. - Responsible for overseeing core’s billing/receivables including animal facilities. Day-to-day responsibilities of the RAs include consenting patients for research studies, obtaining clinical outcome scores, collecting data, collaborating with statisticians, writing abstracts and manuscripts, and preparing scientific presentations. The RA will have the opportunity to shadow the Orthopedic attendings in clinical and surgical arenas.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Conducts the informed consent process and oversees patient enrollment (requires appropriate training and certification of human research subjects training) - Act as a resource for patients enrolled in clinical studies - Act as a liaison between physicians and study participants - Spearheads efforts to meet patient enrollment targets related to independent research studies - Manages data collection for research studies including but not limited to: collecting clinical data directly from patients, performing measurements for applicable studies, and managing the performance of all other duties as put forth in the protocol.  - Ensures timely data collection and entry - Ensures accuracy of personnel transcribing data from a paper case report form (CRF) into an electronic format.  - Manages and executes all IRB submissions and ensures timeliness and accuracy of these submissions and no lapses in approvals for the study.  - Manages research funding budgets, payments and reimbursements. - Represents the Principal Investigator in departmental audits as well as external audits performed by representatives of the sponsor for each clinical research project.  Works closely with HSS internal monitor for guidance on these activities. - Prioritizes and schedules work activities to ensure that workflow is controlled and meets the need of the department. Communicates and maintains institutional/departmental policies, standard operating procedures, quality standards, improvement initiatives and external legal regulations/regulatory requirements.  - Leads weekly research meetings and updates and manages multiple research projects - Participates in clinical, bench and cadaveric research studies. - Has opportunities for authorship of scientific studies. - Has opportunity to shadow the clinicians in the office and OR.

This goal is achieved through various channels by working with multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional customer service to all patients and visitors coming through the door in order to achieve high level of satisfaction and enhance the first impression.    Responsibilities:                                         - Partner with interdisciplinary teams to enhance the patients and family experience through enhanced service and amenities - Follow up with patients and families as well as maintain documentation on family and visitor complaints and concerns relating to care and services - Identify resources needed to manage current and future family and patient volume - Manage Service recovery efforts in coordination with service excellence staff, interns, nursing staff and patient advocates - Provide assistance and comfort to patients’ families as necessary - Collaborate with nursing staff to identify patients who may need immediate assistance on inpatient floors, specifically related to visitation - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to pilot Service Excellence initiatives - Manage the on-boarding process and daily functions of the First Impression Patient Navigation interns and volunteers including training and evaluating their performance - Conduct rounds as needed to ensure patients and visitors in the main Lobby are receiving services as requested - Tracking concerns and issues, identifying trends - Ensuring the swift transfer of coverage once the Information Liaisons and other staff are off duty - Communicate with patients, families, hospital staff and volunteers - Responsibilities may evolve over time
