Central Sterile Processing Manager
Night Shift
Working in a dynamic and very busy Central Sterile Processing department the CSP shift manager partners with the AVP, of Central Sterile Processing managing the departments operations and staff members while performing sterile processing functions including decontamination, instrument assembly, sterilization, aseptic handling and distribution of products to various departments throughout the medical center. The shift manager is responsible for employee time keeping (Kronos) system and scheduling and assigning work for CSP staff. In addition the shift manager is responsible for monitoring and follow up on employee performance as part of the departmental KPI program. Shift managers are expected to be proficient in operating various automated systems used with the operations of the CSP department such as the instrument tracking system, the HR performance management system and the payroll management system.
The Shift Manager in CSP reports to the Senior Director of Central Sterile Processing.
Capabilities
- Ability to quickly establish a trusting working relationship with the Sr. Director and CSP & OR Materials Management and Perioperative Management leadership teams.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers in the perioperative and nursing areas.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to cultivate a visible presence and the savvy to interact with senior leadership and staff across the division. A genuine enthusiasm for working with healthcare professionals.
- Strong clinical/technical knowledge of CSP production, operations and processing equipment.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a “hands-on” manner, adjusting to issues as needed in a dynamic work environment. The ability to prioritize and effectively anticipate and respond to issues as they arise.
- The ability to recognize and take responsibility for your own mistakes and work diligently to rectify them.
- Strong human resource management skills and knowledge of labor standards and laws.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills necessary to conduct shift and staff meetings.
- The ability to model the basic values and principles of the Central Sterile Processing department

Per Diem Certified Hand Therapist - Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist
We are looking for per diem certified hand therapist to join our hand therapy team at Hospital for Special Surgery Rehabilitation. We treat a large variety of hand, wrist and elbow diagnoses including post-surgical trauma, fractures, dislocations, tendon lacerations, arthritis, brachial plexus injuries, amputations and rheumatic conditions. Qualified candidates will have experience with orthosis fabrication and post-surgical rehabilitation.
Along with clinical expertise, this position requires strong communication, team building, mentoring and leadership skills. The candidate will be a dynamic self-starter and have excellent customer service skills. We offer a clinical career ladder and opportunities to grow in areas of leadership, education and research.
To qualify, you must have 4+ years of hand therapy clinical expertise and CHT certification. New York State licensure is a requirement. Position may include covering various HSS Rehabilitation sites within NYC outside of the HSS campus.

As an essential member of our interdisciplinary team you will assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Duties will include but are not limited to: ventilator care management, patient/family education, and application of airway clearance techniques/devices.
The successful candidate will require an associate degree and NYS Licensed (RRT). Will be expected to maintain BLS certification, as well as being familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within respiratory care. We will rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in accordance with the department’s policies and procedures. The ability to perform a variety of tasks with a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. As a member of the team you can expect:

Accounts Receivable Representative
Patients Accounts
This position plays an integral role within the Patient Accounting Department and the successful candidate will be responsible for a large volume of commercial insurance accounts. The position is also responsible for the billing and follow-up of claims to a third party payer. Another responsibility of this position is to process refunds to insurance companies.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years billing and follow-up experience. Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology is a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Epic experience preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
This office is located in midtown Manhattan.

Anesthesia Technician

Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance to anesthesiologists in all clinical settings.
- Retrieves and delivers additional anesthesia supplies/instruments as requested by clinical staff.
- Conducts daily audit of difficult airway cart/PACU cart/MRI cart/Resuscitation cart to establish current stock levels and create inventory of items to be stocked.
- Re-stocks anesthesia carts using designated par levels.
- Assists in cleaning anesthesia equipment when cases conclude each day, ensures state of readiness for next OR day.
- Ensures adequate supplies are maintained on anesthesia carts and contacts Manager, Anesthesia Technicians if discrepancies are identified.
- Works cooperatively with other members of Anesthesia Technical Support Team and Material Management Staff to avoid potential supply inadequacies and address immediate deficiencies.
- Maintains order in anesthesia supply storage areas.
- Communicates promptly and effectively with supervisory staff to address outstanding issues.
- Completes daily report and relays outstanding issues to Manager, Anesthesia Technicians.
- Demonstrates competency and safety in clinical settings.
- Duties as necessary in absence of Anesthesia Supply Technician.
Department Requirements:
- Displays a positive attitude toward work assignments, performance feedback, and interactions with co-workers, patients, families, and visitors.
- Willingly adheres to Department and Hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintains computer literacy, including proficiency in Outlook email and E-learning.
- Attends Department meetings regularly and punctually.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Hospital experience preferred but not necessary.
- Able to demonstrate proficiency in use of hospital computer applications such as E Learning and Outlook email.
Working Conditions: Physical Requirements
