Provides timely reports to Director, Institutional Review Board, Principal Investigator, National Institutes of Health and/or sponsor for each research project.   Contributes to CJRC research through: - Recruitment process (conducts informed consent process) - Data collection - The development and build of Clinical Research Forms - Assures that research is done in an accurate and efficient manner.   Ensures that all research related regulatory, institutional, and departmental compliance requirements are met as appropriate.   Handles I.T. communications (requests) and generates reports from the registry as needed.   Facilitates completion of all internal documentation needed for research (IRB applications, conflict of interest forms, data collection forms, etc.)   Assists in data collection for registry/research-specific studies including but not limited to the performance of measurements for applicable studies, collection of clinical data from patients directly, and manage the performance of all other duties as put forth in the protocol.    Acts as a clinician’s scribe in the operating room in order to collect vital intraoperative registry data during surgical cases   Maintains and enhances professional growth through participation in seminars, research meetings, ARJR and CJRC grand rounds, and internal training sessions to keep abreast of trends in the field of Arthroplasty research.   Assists in patient care coordination by assuring patients complete CJRC forms and patient reported outcomes prior to office visits.

The Senior Director of Care Transitions is responsible for oversight of relevant metrics including readmissions, insurance classification validations, same length of stay outcomes, overall care coordination, and is responsible for key partnerships.  The Senior Director ensures that high quality care and services are provided within regulatory and accrediting body standards, and that overall clinical outcomes and performance meet and exceed national best practice benchmarks. The Senior Director ensures clinical operations and all related programming functions at top levels of safety, efficiency, and with a patient centric focus on their procedural journey. The Senior Director is responsible for leading workplace engagement including integration of DE&I, team engagement and metrics around recognition, recruitment, and retention.  The Senior Director is accountable for viable financial performance of the areas for which the job has accountability. The Senior Director of Care Transitions will lead a team of leaders who oversee social workers, RN case managers, discharge/transport coordinators, Post Discharge APP’s  and more, who are committed to serving patients with exceptional care and promote the mission, vision, and core values of Hospital for Special Surgery. These teams have touchpoints with patients before surgery, during the procedural encounter, and post discharge.  This is a leader of leader’s role, that requires experience guiding people leaders and teams to achieve key hospital metrics and institutional goals. The RA or PostBac Fellow will participate in basic and translational research projects in immunology, inflammation and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. We investigate cellular and molecular pathways that activate innate immune cells such as macrophages, and the role of inflammation in tissue damage, repair and stem cell function. The Ivashkiv laboratory uses cutting edge immunology, molecular biology and genomic techniques. These positions provide opportunities to develop independent projects and obtain training and experience to prepare for graduate or medical school; the Post-Baccalaureate Researcher Program www.hss.edu/post-baccalaureate-training-program.asp offers more formal training in science and opportunities to present research at conferences and write manuscripts for publication. Our fellowship-trained radiologists are highly skilled in the interpretation of musculoskeletal ultrasound and routinely perform ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal interventional procedures. Our specialized technologists are uniquely trained in this high-volume musculoskeletal ultrasound practice. The Department focuses on both the imaging diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions/diseases and the treatment of specific conditions utilizing image guidance.   Position Summary   The Sonographer position requires an individual trained at an accredited sonography program to apply learned skills to outpatient and inpatient procedures/studies in a hospital department setting. All functions are performed consistent with their education and training, and in accordance with facility, protocols, policies, and procedures, and applicable professional standards while ensuring the highest standards of safety for patients. The sonographer is also expected to properly store and maintain equipment, instruct patients on exams, and accurately log and document related information.
