Working with colleagues who love what they do and are deeply committed to our Mission, you too can be part of our transformation across the enterprise.   Physician Assistant Per-Diem   Responsibilities: - Participates in daily patient rounds for patients on the Perioperative Pain Service. - Performs preoperative consults on patients with chronic pain conditions, including long-term opioid use or history of substance use disorder - Provides health care, teaching, counseling and treatment to patients, including assessments of patients’ medical, pharmacological and psychosocial needs. - Monitors and evaluates the patient’s treatment and health care plan for effectiveness and modifies as necessary. - Coordinates admission and discharge for pain management inpatients, including obtaining relevant information regarding medication and ensuring that appropriate discharge prescriptions and follow up appointments are made. - Assists the supervising physician in coordinating management plan. - Documents all assessments, findings, progress and care provided in the electronic medical record. - Refers relevant clinical issues to the supervising physician. - Works collaboratively with all nursing and hospital staff and other hospital staff as required. - Educates nursing staff on uses related to pain management, including distribution of articles and education materials of interest. - Adheres to all practice standards outlined by Hospital Administration and governing regulatory bodies.

The Senior Director will work closely with the analytics team to model all contract proposals including fee-for-service and value-based arrangements (i.e., shared savings, bundles, etc.). They will work closely with the contract operations team to troubleshoot contract operational issues and assist where necessary to bring them to resolution using their understanding of the underlying contracts as well as by leveraging their payor relationships.   RESPONSIBILITIES: - Meets with senior leadership to ascertain and develop strategic payor contracting goals. - Negotiates contracts ensuring financial and strategic goals are translated into contractual language accordingly. - Analyzes payor contract proposals in conjunction with the analytics team to ensure contracts meet financial goals. - Works closely with the legal team to review and edit contracts as appropriate. - Ensures internal stakeholders are aware of contract terms, reimbursement rates, and payor policies and that contract terms are appropriately communicated/translated into front and back-end processes. - Works closely with the revenue cycle teams to ensure contracts are loaded appropriately into billing and decision support systems. - Works closely with the contract operations team, UM/clinical denials team, and revenue cycle teams to identify trends and opportunities in outstanding accounts receivable. - Escalates issues as necessary to payor contacts for resolution. In conjunction with contract operations, recommends escalation through senior management as appropriate. - Identifies trends/patterned issues to aid in contract renegotiations. - Assesses contract administrative terms and advises leadership accordingly on measures of contract performance. - Maintains up to date knowledge on the healthcare market, specifically in regard to payor policies and reimbursement trends. - Possesses strong leadership skills and demonstrates capability to inspire staff to pursue excellence in goals and productivity; capable of coaching and improving staff in need of professional development. Places high priority on overall team performance. - Additional responsibilities as required to accomplish departmental goals.

As the demand for services at HSS continues to grow, HSS is seeking a dynamic individual to assist in the development of new regional sites and the main campus transformation and support the enterprise space management strategy. As part of the Planning, Design, and Construction (PDC) group, the Facilities Planner I will work on projects of various types and sizes, and will impact projects at all points through the design process. The Facilities Planner I will also work closely with a variety of teams including Finance, Operational Excellence, Information Technology, front-line leaders, and external vendors and consultants. The Facilities Planner I will also have frequent exposure to executive leadership team and other key leaders across the organization. Reporting directly to the Director, Facilities Planning & Design, the Facilities Planner’s first engagement will focus on Workspace Planning, this position will help transform HSS to a more modern, agile workforce leveraging various workplace models of the future. Planner will partner with executive leadership and the Space Planning team to stand up a Workspace Planning Governance Structure, develop and execute a space allocation plan, and support the integration of workspace data to an Integrated Workspace Management System (IWMS). Highly efficient project management, analytics, and change management will be critical to the success of this transformational effort. The role will serve as a resource and mentor to all clinical roles at the ambulatory sites ensuring curriculum, policies and procedures remain up to date and in compliance with regulatory agencies. The CES will generate data-driven plans that take both quality and cost of care into account using appropriate research practices and methodologies to get accurate data and drive practical change to improve clinical practice. The CES provides both clinical leadership and education through ongoing clinical evaluation with the nursing staff. The CES will support orientation and competency training for all clinical roles in the ambulatory setting. The CES supplies analytical support to the nursing leadership to plan and predict education needs based upon patient and nurse performance data and direct observation of nursing practice. The CES possesses mastery of clinical decision making, critical thinking, knowledge acquisition and dissemination, problem identification and identification of safety issues in practice. The CES Understands the Magnet Program and integration of Magnet standards into the nursing department infrastructure. The CES supports the shared governance model. Your primary duties will be cleaning patient rooms and common areas, and providing a comfortable and appealing environment for our patients. This will include: dusting and washing equipment, walls, and floors; removing refuse, recyclables and regulated medical waste; and sanitizing receptacles.   To qualify for this role, you will need a High School diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in housekeeping or related field preferred. However, the underlying mechanisms are far from understood. Our lab studies osteoimmunology, an interdisciplinary field linking bone biology and the immune system, focusing on inflammatory regulation of gene expression, and signaling in macrophage differentiation to osteoclasts (see the model of a new molecular regulatory network we recently identified), adipogenesis, skeletal damage and repair involved in disease (such as osteoporosis and inflammatory arthritis).   Ongoing studies include identification, function and regulation of bone marrow skeletal stem/progenitors, inflammatory regulation of macrophage polarization and differentiation into osteoclasts in osteoimmunology field.
