Working with colleagues who love what they do and are deeply committed to our Mission, you too can be part of our transformation across the enterprise   Advance Practice Provider (NP/PA) Full-Time Monday-Friday 9am-5pm   Hospital for Special Surgery, #1 in Orthopedics for the last 14 years, is currently looking for an experienced and energetic Full Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.   The Department of Neurology is seeking a full-time Advance Practice Provider to provide expert, compassionate, and prompt care to patients with mobility disorders, such as Parkinson's disease, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), dystonia, tremors, etc.   Your role is essential to promoting a professional atmosphere through courteous communication, cooperation and respect for patients, visitors and members of the healthcare team.  In addition, you will be responsible for upholding stellar customer service practices for patients and families, as well as acting as a liaison to the physician and hospital departments.   Competencies/Duties: - Provide clinical consultation, assessment, and management to patients. - Conduct outpatient evaluation, treatment and follow-up of patients as directed by the supervising physician. - Review/interpret patient imaging and lab results; communicate results to patients and provide follow-up treatment and education. - Communicate effectively and appropriately when educating patient/family in regard to their medical condition and/or hospital course. - Document progress patient has made toward desired outcomes. - Utilize the computerized order communication system, including transcription of medical orders, retrieval of test results and documentation of results. - Maintain clear and legible history and physical documentation and all other written reports. - Work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision. - Complete any relevant patient paperwork such as medication prior authorizations, plan of care, etc. - Promote cooperation through teamwork. - Other duties as needed for effective and safe patient care. Working with colleagues who love what they do and are deeply committed to our Mission, you too can be part of our transformation across the enterprise.   Education Coordinator Complex Joint Reconstruction Center   Full-Time         The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.  They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.   SUMMARY: This individual will be an integral member of two arms of the SNF Complex Joint Reconstruction Center.  This role will serve in compliance with all regulatory, institutional, and departmental requirements.  The candidate will participate in all aspects of quality assurance of data and processes for projects that will come out of the SNF Complex Joint Reconstruction Center.  The candidate will play an integral role in day-to-day educational activities.   RESPONSIBILITIES:   Educational Conferences - Coordinates the synchronization and management of activities related to the educational conference under the direction of the Complex Joint Reconstruction (CJRC) Education Director - Delineates tasks to administrative manager as needed and serves as the main liaison between the HSS Education Department and CJRC. - This role will be directly responsible for the planning, organization, execution, and all close out procedures related to conference activities. - This position is required to be at all conference related activities (e.g welcome dinner and day of conference) to assure organization and serve as the point of contact for the Education Director and conference participants - Responsible for problem solving and maintaining open communication channels during and before conference dates   CJRC Education specific projects - Works hand in hand with the Education Director to develop the CJRC Education Program and assure that milestones for development are met. This will be done on a per project basis annually. - Provides support for all Education committees and assists the Education director in the development and structure of the Education program - Responsible for presenting concerns and challenges associated with all sub-programs that fall under the Education umbrella - Works with other departments to ensure the CJRC Education Program meets standards, goals, and timelines established internally and by the institution - Assures open communication between all invested parties. - Responsible for developing, supporting and crafting digital media presence. - Provides project support for CJRC Clinical and Research fellows on education-oriented tasks - Assist in the synchronization of research activities within the CJRC as it relates to sub-programs and conferences that fall under the Education umbrella. - Assists in data collection and recruitment processes for registry/research-specific studies

The role will collaborate with the nursing leadership team and Quality and Accreditation team to coordinate activities and develop quality improvement projects; and provide support for nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams undertaking improvement initiatives. The quality improvement RN will provide and analyze data, anticipate programmatic changes, inform organizational and clinical leadership of such changes, forecast organizational performance, and coordinate performance improvement initiatives to meet the goals. The role supports evidence-based practice by assisting nursing staff in the development of process standards that are consistent with evidence-based literature, regulatory requirements, and pertinent professional nursing standards. This role will act as a departmental liaison between the Department of Nursing and other hospital departments to drive collaboration between interprofessional partners to improve quality care across the enterprise.   Responsibilities include:   - Annual evaluation and report of the Nursing quality and performance improvement plans - Occurrence reviews, including Patient Event Debriefs, RCAs, FMEAs, and corrective action plans with Nursing leadership team and the Quality and Accreditation team. - Analyzes data, evaluates outcomes, and supports the development of action plans to improve practice. - Assists in improvement to ensure the right methodologies are utilized, including Lean and Six Sigma, A3 Problem Solving, AND Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA). - Monitors regulatory compliance. Coordinate activities to ensure the effective implementation and sustainability. - Identifying opportunities for improvement and the development and implementation of improvement strategies - Assist with benchmarking activities through the National Database for Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI). - Provides project management support for quality improvement teams including arranging meetings, providing minutes, managing project timelines, and preparing reports. Our CSP department is responsible for decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, packaging, sterilizing and safely transporting reusable surgical instruments to our surgical areas. CSP also provides disposable medical supplies to the perioperative areas via surgical case carts.     The mission is to provide customers with products that are 100% clean, complete, sterile and delivered on time. The process is complex due to the vast amounts and variety of surgical instruments found in each tray and meeting the demand of our very busy operating rooms here at HSS. The CSP team prides themselves in being engaged and compliant to regulatory standards for quality and patient safety in order to deliver the best service and products for patients that come to HSS.   In the Central Sterile Technician role, we rely on you to adhere to the mission by ensuring the delivery of our world-renowned patient care, and providing sterile supplies, instruments and equipment required for patients undergoing orthopedic surgical interventions. You will support all patient care areas by properly processing surgical equipment using washers, sterilizers, dryers, and heat sealers. The processing and logging of implants and loaner sets of instruments is also vital to your contribution.
