We'll also rely on you to conduct pre-op, intra-op and post-op surgical counts according to AORN standards and maintaining the integrity of the surgical field during procedures. Your capacity to collaborate with your team to promote the highest standards of patient safety is critical to the mission of HSS.   The successful candidate will possess a High School diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program with certification NBSTSA.   A minimum of one year experience as a certified Surgical Technologist is also required. Sports Medicine Experience iis required.   BLS certification required.   Your eye for detail should be matched by excellent communication skills and the ability to think on your feet.

Though the main campus is located in New York City, HSS treats individuals throughout the Tri-State area and Florida and consistently attracts patients from all 50 states and over 80 countries who recognize its specialized services.HSS is affiliated with the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System through the hospital's affiliation with Weill Cornell Medical College. The hospital is also affiliated with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and Rockefeller University, all of which are located within a three-block area of York Avenue in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. HSS Department of Medicine has five Divisions: Rheumatology, Pediatric Rheumatology, Endocrinology/Metabolic Bone, Infectious Diseases, and Perioperative Medicine. Post Award - Responsible for coordination of all post-award activities in collaboration with centralized Post Award Administration and Research Accounting and assures compliance with institutional and federal policies. - Provides on-going financial oversight of grants and contracts including but not limited to: tracking of funds, sub-awards, evaluating expenditures, forecasting, preparation and submission of progress and final reports. - Manages effort tracking to ensure compliance with time and effort policies. - Coordinates and maintains tracking of all DOM’s NIH (R, T, P, & K awards) DOD and Foundations. - Manages purchasing, payments of services and reimbursements of grant expenses. - Monitors expenses for correct allocation to funds and reconciles payments with partner institutions and rectifies any errors. - Assists with the preparation of standard and ad-hoc financial reports as needed and provides analysis and reasons for variance as needed. - Additional responsibilities as assigned as assigned by AVP, Research or Chair DOM.
