In addition to providing instructor-led classroom training the Instructional Designer develops various curricula, both traditional and e-learning, taking a blended approach to address new hire, optimization, and efficiency training needs. The IT Instructional Designer for prescriber educator team also serves as a performance consultant for prescriber stakeholders to enable the achievement of individual, departmental, and organizational goals. Job may require some travel within the HSS campus, including offsite, regional centers.   This is an exciting and dynamic role that supports HSS’ growth and strategic plan by enabling clinicians (Prescribers, Surgeons, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Fellows, and Residents) to leverage the power and efficiency of our integrated electronic medical record platform.  Responsibilities - Assists in the design and implementation of a training strategy and training plan for the assigned Epic and other ancillary applications/systems. - Instructional Designer for Epic Inpatient and EpicCare Outpatient applications. - Participates in cross-functional teams to identify and document functional requirements, workflows, and policies to form the composite of training curriculum and content by role. - Partners with the business and IT stakeholders, and informatics, on course material development to ensure policies, procedures, and system functionality are accurately reflected. - Assists prescriber and other users with the personalization of Epic’s system. - Develops e-learning courses modules using e-learning authoring software (Adobe Captivate, Camtasia). - Develops classroom curricula (e.g., PowerPoint Presentations, Exercise Booklets, Quick Reference Guides/Tip Sheets, etc.) applying instructional design methodologies. - Builds and maintains Learning Home Dashboards. - Assigns training materials to be completed by staff for new hire, efficiency, and optimization training. - Provides classroom training to end users of assigned application(s). - Schedules course offerings with new employee orientation and other major events, including new go-lives and version upgrades. - Assesses the efficacy of training programs by administering end user proficiency assessments, and surveying learners with 30- and 60-day post-training evaluations. - Builds, tests, and maintains the master training environment (MST) for the assigned Epic application(s). - Reviews and tests system changes, enhancements, and each new release as assigned to ensure training materials and the MST environment remain updated. - Maintains training documentation by versioning, organizing, and publishing materials across several platforms which include the Learning Management System (LMS), education intranet site, Learning Homes, IT training shared drive and SharePoint. - Leads the Epic Experts (Super Users) program for their assigned application(s) by communicating system changes, workflow enhancements, and new training documentation in monthly Expert group meetings. - Prioritizes, escalates, and resolves incidents and support requests via Cherwell Ticketing System in a timely fashion and to end user satisfaction. - Performs other duties as assigned.

We treat a large variety of hand, wrist and elbow diagnoses including post-surgical trauma, fractures, dislocations, tendon lacerations, arthritis, brachial plexus injuries, amputations and rheumatic conditions. Qualified candidates will have experience with orthosis fabrication and post-surgical rehabilitation.   Along with clinical expertise, this position requires strong communication, team building, mentoring and leadership skills. The candidate will be a dynamic self-starter and have excellent customer service skills. We offer a clinical career ladder and opportunities to grow in areas of leadership, education and research.   To qualify, you must have 4+ years of hand therapy clinical expertise and CHT certification. New York State licensure is a requirement. Position may include covering various HSS Rehabilitation sites within NYC outside of the HSS campus. Working with colleagues who love what they do and are deeply committed to our Mission, you too can be part of our transformation across the enterprise.   Payor Enrollment Coordinator Managed Care   The Payor Enrollment Coordinator will be primarily responsible for coordinating physician and non-physician enrollment into the Managed Care Plans.  This position will work independently and as a valued team member supporting the coordination of all operational aspects of the enrollment/credentialing program, including organizing, compiling key informational data and executing processes and procedures related to internal and external credentialing/appointment, re-credentialing and profile maintenance.  Assignments are planned and executed with considerable independence in conformance with established policies, regulations, and laws. Duties and Responsibilities The duties include, but are not limited to: - Initiates and coordinates the acquisition and receipt of enrollment/credentialing documentation from new and existing providers; provides follow-up and problem resolution as required.   - Coordinates the processing, distribution, and management of all credentialing and accreditation documents for affected providers.   - Collaborates with internal departments (Patient Access, Medical Staff, Physician Practice Management etc.) to ensure smooth on-boarding of providers into HSS PHO - Assist in the maintenance of accuracy and completeness of internal credentialing database (Cactus). - Review payer plan applications returned to department for accuracy and completeness, troubleshooting as needed.   - Plan, implement and maintain delegated credentialing processes/status with insurance companies. - Assist in ensuring that provider participation in the payer plans and CAQH is current, accurate and up to date.   - Assist with for inputting credentialing information into the departmental credentialing system, as necessary to support the Credentialing process.   - Must actively process forms, requesting payer applications, maintaining file system, following up on issues and troubleshooting problems.   - Maintains and ensures strict confidentiality of files and databases.   - Other duties as assigned.

The center consists of a waiting/registration area, 10 pre-anesthesia holding rooms, 2 isolation pre-anesthesia holding room, 9 operative suites, a 17 bay/bed Acute Post Anesthesia Care Unit, which includes 15 beds, 2 isolation rooms, and a Sub Acute Post Anesthesia Care Unit which includes 8 recliners.  Support areas include a patient nourishment station, a physical therapy room, 2 physician consultation rooms, Surgeon dictation room, anesthesia work room, a decontamination area, a dedicated “dirty” elevator to central supply and the fourth floor operating rooms, a dedicated “clean” elevator to central supply and the fourth floor operating rooms, 2 staff locker rooms and a staff lounge.    Responsibilities - Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary health care teams to maintain the standards of professional nursing practices in a clinical setting - Collect comprehensive data on patients’ health (from patients and/or family members); Analyze data to determine needs & develop individualized care plans; update care plans based on progression and pathway as well as manage care delivery - Ensure that all physician orders are carried out appropriately and timely; work collaboratively with ancillary staff, including Patient Care Assistants - Integrate patient care standards in all clinical activities; participate in performance improvement activities to improve patient safety, quality of care and patient outcomes - Maintain sensitivity and awareness of cultural and religious diversity when addressing patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers - Promote a supportive and team-oriented environment - Support departmental responsibilities consistent with the long-range strategic plan, mission, vision and values of the hospital

You will create and maintain medical protocols set in the office. Proficiency in patient vitals, BP, temperature venipuncture, proper cast removal, suture and staple removal a must. Strong knowledge of orthopedic practice procedures such as diagnosis, cpt codes, crutches, canes, cam walkers are essential. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, establishing and maintaining and organized professional environment. Your hours will vary.
