Assess the data and suggest improvements as needed. - Serve as the director for the department’s Global Musculoskeletal Health Equity Division (GMHED) program, including organizing meetings with global partners, overseeing program budget and expense reimbursement, facilitating multidisciplinary relationships, and coordinating overseas travel - Serve as the administrator for the Healthcare Immersion Program. Plan and direct the event, and organize a multidisciplinary group to facilitate the weekend. - Serve as the administrator of the Resuscitation Committee. Our CSP department is responsible for decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, packaging, sterilizing and safely transporting reusable surgical instruments to our surgical areas. CSP also provides disposable medical supplies to the perioperative areas via surgical case carts.     The mission is to provide customers with products that are 100% clean, complete, sterile and delivered on time. The process is complex due to the vast amounts and variety of surgical instruments found in each tray and meeting the demand of our very busy operating rooms here at HSS. The CSP team prides themselves in being engaged and compliant to regulatory standards for quality and patient safety in order to deliver the best service and products for patients that come to HSS.   In the Central Sterile Technician role, we rely on you to adhere to the mission by ensuring the delivery of our world-renowned patient care, and providing sterile supplies, instruments and equipment required for patients undergoing orthopedic surgical interventions. You will support all patient care areas by properly processing surgical equipment using washers, sterilizers, dryers, and heat sealers. In addition, (s)he will provide customer service, assist with program registration and data entry, and assume other administrative duties for the department and division, as necessary. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Assist with the coordination and implementation of outreach programs, including workshops, lectures, screening programs and exercise classes: - Assist with registration process and day-of program logistics including registrations - Assist with community partner communications and logistics - Communicate with program faculty - Prepare program objectives and promotional copy (i.e. descriptions/social media, etc) - Prepare registration program pages, when applicable - Research and prepare presentation documents, if applicable - Prepare outcomes documents, including evaluations and reports - Assist with Community Partner Development, including: - Create a list of partners to contact - Collect community organization profiles Maintain library of topics to present partners, based on member audience demographics

This position involves a great deal of patient contact as well as interaction with physicians of various specialties in the hospital. Duties include (but are not limited to) recruitment of patients, assessment of eligibility criteria, administration of questionnaires, coordination of study visits, drawing blood, obtaining specimen form the operating room, processing of biospecimens, obtaining regulatory approvals, and maintaining accurate databases. S/he will have proven abilities to work autonomously, bearing independent responsibility to ensure data accuracy and timely follow through of study procedures. Opportunities for mentorship, authorship, and presentation at academic conferences exist for the right candidate.      RESPONSIBILITIES: - Identify, screen, recruit, obtain consent from patients for participation in research studies - Administer questionnaires, interviews in person, electronically, by mail or over phone - Coordinate patient visits; ensure protocol compliance - Prepare, submit, maintain study related materials/approvals for Institutional Review Board (IRB) - Schedule and set agendas for study team meetings; send notes afterwards (emphasis on action items) - Regularly report on progress towards project milestones - Organize and maintain all files and documents related to specific projects (electronic and physical files as applicable) - Design/maintain databases (i.e.REDCap), data collection forms, source documents, IRB documents, etc - Collect, process, store, ship blood/tissue/microbiome specimens (phlebotomy training provided as applicable) - Prepare and submit abstracts, manuscripts and presentations to disseminate study results/progress (includes proofing and editing, collection of financial disclosures - Assist in grant documents/submissions - Update curriculum vitae for PI’s and co-investigators as applicable - Create/maintain study specific instruction manuals and administrative training documents - Provide training to new-hire replacement upon leaving position

This position will work closely with the Senior Director of Community and Physician Engagement to optimize presentation of HSS services, and to develop robust relationships with potential referring physicians. The liaison will work to implement outreach strategies.   There will be a significant field component, through contacting physician offices (in person and virtual), gathering information, and implementation of outreach efforts to make HSS physicians more visible to community physicians, and ultimately enhancing referral relationships to drive demand for HSS services.   Physician Liaison Responsibilities: - Identify potential opportunities for informal partnerships between community physicians and HSS physicians. - Cultivate relationships with referring physicians that lead to personal introductions to physicians in assigned territory. - Anticipate physicians needs ahead of in-person/virtual visit and be equipped with information and appropriate messaging (based on previous experiences, conversations, size and location of practice, referral patterns, etc). - Build awareness of HSS locations, programs, and treatment advances - Use independent judgment to identify and coordinate meetings between key referring physicians and HSS physicians (office/virtual visits, community events, etc.) that will result in the greatest impact for HSS. - Analyze field intelligence and contribute to business insight through meaningful conversations with community providers to determine what advances would drive improved relationships. - Develop innovative, strategic targeting strategies through analysis and interpretation of internal referral, demographic, and market research data to identify key opportunities for increased referral growth. - Identifies, monitors and documents relationship histories, including details of contacts and meetings with providers and staff, by maintaining a relationship and contact management database. - Display independent judgment by developing a physician outreach strategy that aligns with institutional priorities. - Develop content for innovative, impactful collateral materials such as regional market brochures and educational materials to support outreach effectiveness. - Arranging and leading community engagement campaigns and education/awareness efforts.

The successful applicant must be available for 1-2 years.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Identify potential subjects via computer generated lists - Obtain informed consent from patients who wish to participate in studies - Send out emails to patients inviting them to participate in studies - Act as a resource for patients regarding study consent forms - Act as a liaison between physicians and study participants - Obtain intra-operative data from surgeons during surgery - Administer questionnaires to patients - Coordinate patient visits as needed - Serve as a contact person for patients with questions regarding study protocol - Call patients between visits to ensure compliance and answer any questions - Administer follow-up questionnaires by phone or email - Enter data into an electronic database - Organize and maintain paperwork related to the study - Prepare Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications and submissions.  Maintains files of IRB approvals and coordinates re-submissions in a timely manner
