Ultimately, the study aims to identify knee osteoarthritis (OA) patient subtypes and PRP constituents with prognostic and functional significance.   POSITION SUMMARY: The Postdoctoral Fellow will work in a collaborative multidisciplinary team, as part of the HSS Center for Regenerative Medicine, and will conduct experiments involving integration of clinical outcomes with multi-omics analyses of clinical samples and in vitro models. Candidates should have a recent Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field. Candidates are expected to have at least one peer-reviewed high quality first author publication and should be highly motivated and productive. Good written/oral communication skills in English, and expertise in flow cytometry, RNA sequencing, protein analysis methods, bioinformatics analyses and data mining, and cell culture in vitro models, are highly desirable. Responsibilities are as follows:   Arthroplasty Implants: - Receives and documents implants requested by the circulating nurse for surgery - Picks and dispense implants to the circulating nurse for surgery - Deliver implants/supplies to operating rooms as needed - Reconciles all unused implants returned from surgery - Perform inventory counts on loaner implant systems as needed - Acts as a resource person for circulating nurses regarding arthroplasty implants and surgical supplies   Implant Trays: - Inspect used implant trays to determine what is missing - Re-stock all implants trays appropriately - Log all implants ordered for implant trays in tray tracking software system (Google Drive) - Review tray tracking software systems to determine tray usability status for next day’s OR schedule Inventory Management: - Re-order implants and surgical supplies according to pre-determined par levels. - Initiates purchase requisitions for implants and surgical supplies - Monitors back ordered implants and supplies - Contacts vendor representative for assistance prior to a stock outage as a result of a back order situation - Places implants and supplies received into stock - Checks the inventory for soon to expire items and removes them from stock - Maintain data in the inventory management system software (Qsight) by performing inventory cycle counts according to departmental needs - Transport wire carts containing complete implant systems from one floor to another as the operative schedule calls for.   Operative Surgical Schedule review: - Review the 48 hours and next day’s operative schedule for implant and supply needs. - Update the Epic implant status and white communication boards - Complete the list of implant trays that are needed for surgery the following day - Hand off any incomplete task to the Implant Technician Coordinator or designee for follow up   Monitoring of Loaner bins in Implant Room (4W-025) - Label all loaner systems - Determine if loaner implants are needed for surgery that day - Notify the vendor representative if loaners are left over after surgery

Maintain timely and effective communication with supervisors and constituents. - Assist in managing the flow of surgical supplies - Check inventory levels of surgical supplies in designated storage areas and report finding to the supervisor. - Receive shipments of surgical supplies according to the vendor’s packing slip and report discrepancies to the supervisor. - Place new shipments of surgical supplies in their designated storage area. - Restock surgical supplies, according to established par levels - Dispose of all waste generated (primarily cardboard boxes). - Handle the pager by responding and addressing the client’s needs/concerns in a timely fashion.   Knowledge: Skills and abilities Possess a sense of urgency and a proactive customer service philosophy. Have good oral and written communication skills.   Experience Experience in inventory management. Experience with surgical supplies preferred.   Physical requirements Able to perform moderate to heavy lifting   Education: High School diploma required              Associates Degree in Business preferred

Reporting to the Manager, Clinical Services for the region, the Assistant Manager provides essential onsite clinical guidance and communication of daily assignments to the nursing staff at the direction of and in the absence of the Manager, Clinical Services. The Assistant Manager also serves in a clinical capacity by providing direct clinical support for physicians and nursing services as needed.   Serving as an Assistant Manager, they will problem solve amongst nursing staff and doctors within the facility, troubleshoot daily clinical operational issues, mentor nursing staff and build relationships with physicians as a clinical expert in conjunction with, and in the absence of, the Manager, Clinical Services.   Responsibilities Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:   Clinical (80%)   Support physician office visits and other clinical activities. - Room patients, including preparation for exams, reviewing past medical history, and obtaining patient data. - Assist with procedures, including but not limited to suture/staple removal, cast application and removal, EKG, venipuncture, and injections. - Foster effective patient throughput. Administrative (20%)   Support the Manager, Clinical Services in the management of the nursing staff.  - Daily schedule and staffing assignments (coordinating per diems, vacations, callouts, etc.). - Physician room and dictation station assignments. - Primary point of clinical contact onsite in absence of Manager, Clinical Services.   Support the Manager, Clinical Services in ensuring compliant and competent nursing practice for the site. - Monitor par levels for supplies, ordering as needed. - Check expiration dates of current supplies in the closet, medication buckets, and on all medications and vials. - Check the automated external defibrillator (AED) daily and alert the Manager, Clinical Services when the battery needs to be changed.  - Complete temperature logs on medication and specimen refrigerator and freezer. Minimum Qualifications - NY RN License & Registration - BSN - BLS via AHA   Experience - Required: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience ; Preferred: Currently an employee at HSS Westchester. - Demonstrated basic knowledge of orthopedic and outpatient care as well as a working knowledge of processes involved in physician practices with strong organizational and prioritizing skills. - Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and display a positive attitude towards assignments and others. - Proficiency in Epic clinical workflows.

Working with colleagues who love what they do and are deeply committed to our Mission, you too can be part of our transformation across the enterprise.   Program Manager   The Clinical Research Administration (CRA) has established a centralized service center to provide Investigators and Administrative leaders within Service Lines and Departments with efficient and standardized pre and post award management of clinical research projects by interfacing across multiple HSS offices including; Finance and Research Accounting, Quality Assurance and Compliance, Contracts Administration and Legal Affairs, Post Award Administration and Sponsored Research.    This candidate will provide management support for clinical research projects involving multiple PI's within multiple services/departments, regardless of funding sources (Federal, State, industry contracts, gifts/donations, sub awards, service agreements, and Foundation). In collaboration with the PI and/or research team, this candidate may also interact with numerous Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Device Manufacturer and Clinical Research Organizations.   Reporting into the Executive Director for Clinical Research, the Program Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive support including financial management for multiple research programs with Service Lines assigned to that Manager. The candidate will standardize and automate systems supporting Research Administration best practices including Lawson’s Grants Management and the implementation of a CTMS system.   Duties and Responsibilities: Support includes assistance with Clinical Research study start up, portfolio management and study termination by:    - Reviewing and interpret clinical trial protocols/studies for regulatory and budgeting/billing compliance purposes - Working with assigned Service Line research staff to create study specific budgets for new protocols - Work with research team to effectively communicate non-standard care services for each protocol and assisting with creation of billing grid templates - Accurately cost industry, in-house, and government sponsored trials with ancillary departments and hospital finance - Collaborate with the Contracts Administrator to vet and finalize relevant CDAs and CTAs - Keep a current understanding of FDA and CMS guidelines for clinical trial billing (Qualifying Clinical Trial (QCT) and Medicare Coverage Analysis (MCA) - Work closely with Sponsored Research on Federal, State and/or Foundation sponsored clinical research grants - Assure IRB approval and ICF is consistent with budget, coverage analysis and agreement before finalizing documents and communicate with IRB Administration - Work with Clinical Research Administrator to create study records and billing calendars in EPIC and assist with creating study and billing calendars in CTMS - Assurance that QCTs are identified and set up as such in Epic, E-CAP and Wellspring and that billing is performed in compliance with applicable regulations and payor requirements - Assist with the internal cost center/account set up and monitoring of the account - Review and develop applicable financial reporting metrics - Monitor GM/CTMS of existing protocols with payment schedules, dollars received, dollars outstanding and amendments - Review invoices as required by various study sponsors and in collaboration with Research Accounting manage collection of all outstanding receivables including milestone management - Work with and assist Investigators, administrators, and research teams with the allocation of personnel costs during the quarterly offset process and process applicable personnel change forms Other special projects as necessary including presentations to leadership, chairing and/or co-chairing relevant meetings, participate in hospital and research committees; produce various metrics report to improve operations, attend service line retreats, etc.   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in related area; Master’s degree preferred. - Proven ability to provide clinical expertise in all phases of clinical research trials. - Two + years’ experience in clinical research as a coordinator - Thorough understanding of research guidelines of Federal and non-Federal sponsors supporting research and educational activities, preferably in an academic environment. - Thorough knowledge of applicable regulatory and compliance requirements related to use of human subjects in research, financial conflict of interest, IRB, etc. - Ability to maintain independent judgment; strong organization and communication skills; and a customer service focus across broad and diverse subject areas. - Maintains current knowledge of compliance regulations in all areas of research including QCT/MCAs. - Ability to independently interpret, analyze, and implement appropriate policies in a given situation. - Skill in prioritizing a high volume workload to ensure priorities and other deadlines are met. We'll also rely on you to conduct pre-op, intra-op and post-op surgical counts according to AORN standards and maintaining the integrity of the surgical field during procedures.
