HSS has embarked on a multi-year Omni-Channel patient engagement strategy to support a world class patient and consumer experience. Salesforce Health cloud is a foundation technology of the strategy. The ecosystem will expand in 2022 to include Marketing Cloud, in tandem with other contact center and patient engagement solutions. This opportunity offers the physical therapist the ability to work with a diverse orthopedic population, in a brand new, state-of-the art center along side a staff of exceptional physicians, surgeons and clinicians.   To qualify, you must have a minimum of 3 years of out-patient clinical expertise with an emphasis in differential diagnosis, examination, and treatment of various musculoskeletal pathologies of the spine and extremities; both non-operative and post-operative. APTA certifications including OCS and/or SCS, or significant continuing education/certification in manual therapy are preferable. Florida State licensure is a requirement.   Along with clinical expertise, this position requires strong communication, team building, mentoring and leadership skills. Working with colleagues who love what they do and are deeply committed to our Mission, you too can be part of our transformation across the enterprise.     Overview:    The Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care & Pain Management at HSS is establishing an assistant professor level position focused on clinical research investigations and innovative techniques within the chronic pain management section.  This is a non-clinical research track position with no clinical privileges, with potential faculty affiliations to Weill Cornell Medical School and/or HSS Research Institute.  This position is an integral member of the research team in compliance with all regulatory, institutional, and departmental requirements.    Primary responsibilities include managing and conducting the Department’s Chronic Pain Division related clinical investigations independently and/or in collaborations with other chronic pain management physicians within the department.  The Director will participate in chronic pain research study-related activities in the Anesthesiology Department, contribute to research leadership initiatives, and serve as an academic collaborator and mentor within the Research Division.   Responsibilities: - Manages and conducts clinical chronic pain related research independently and/or in collaboration with chronic pain management physicians. - Participates in protocol development in collaboration with Principal Investigator and co-investigators. Conducts literature searches; actively participates in development meetings; reviews and edits protocol document; prepares study initiation documents. - Performs IRB submissions for initial approvals, re-approvals, amendments, etc. Prepares, submits, and files IRB and all regulatory documents (e.g. data collection sheets, protocol amendments, protocol deviations, adverse event forms) as requested by the Principal Investigator. - Maintains and enhances professional growth and promotes the visibility of the Department’s Chronic Pain Division through membership in to national/international societies, regularly attending national/international conferences relevant to the field of chronic pain research, high quality publications, grants, and invited lectures. - Ensures that all research related regulatory, institutional, and departmental compliance requirements are met as appropriate. Maintains personal and academic integrity in carrying out study procedures. - Participates in research leadership initiatives and committees. Proactively suggests improvements. Acts as a role model and mentor to research assistant staff. Contributes meaningfully to the division’s meetings, seminars, publications, and other initiatives. - Provides timely progress reports at regular intervals as determined by the Anesthesiology department chair and director of research, such as every 6 months. Other duties and projects as designated by Director of Research.   Qualifications: - PhD, and/or MD or equivalent degree (e.g. DO, MB, MBBS). - Minimum 3 years of prior research experience required, preferably in pain management. - Previous experience working with randomized clinical trials - Previous experience with regulatory science for clinical study - Experience with electronic data management, databases/clinical registries, statistical, and citation management programs, FDA submissions and/or industry-sponsored research, and research certification (CCRC, CCRP) are preferred

Requirements:   - Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred) - A comprehensive understanding of current episode payment methods used by CMS and by commercial payers, in addition to other complex reimbursement methodologies - Knowledge of hospital operations, health/insurance benefit plans, and revenue cycle claims systems - Attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies - Strong communication and organizational skills - Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, PowerPivot, and Excel - Previous project work or dedicated internship in Payor Strategy & Contracting highly desirable

Working with colleagues who love what they do and are deeply committed to our Mission, you too can be part of our transformation across the enterprise   Registered Nurse Per Diem     As an integral member of our Magnet Nursing team, the successful RN candidate will be focused on – patient advocacy and delivering the highest quality of care to our patients!  Working in an evidence-based nursing environment that commands excellence every day, you will provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative nursing care to our patients and their families in this acute care setting.  Our core values center on respect, consideration, compassion for all individuals and maintaining awareness of diverse cultural and religious beliefs.  Your capacity to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and promote the highest standards of care and safety is critical to the mission of Nursing in HSS.   Responsibilities - Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary health care teams to maintain the standards of professional nursing practices in a clinical setting - Collect comprehensive data on patients’ health (from patients and/or family members); Analyze data to determine needs & develop individualized care plans; update care plans based on progression and pathway as well as manage care delivery - Ensure that all physician orders are carried out appropriately and timely; work collaboratively with ancillary staff, including Patient Care Assistants - Integrate patient care standards in all clinical activities; participate in performance improvement activities to improve patient safety, quality of care and patient outcomes - Maintain sensitivity and awareness of cultural and religious diversity when addressing patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers - Promote a supportive and team-oriented environment - Support departmental responsibilities consistent with the long-range strategic plan, mission, vision and values of the hospital Minimum Requirements - BSN from an accredited school of nursing required - 1+ years’ of acute care experience - NYS RN license and registration required - BLS certification required Essential Qualifications - HCAHPS/EPIC knowledge preferred - Your scope of duties will include medical-surgical clinical competence, incorporating physical and emotional assessments, age specific competency, critical thinking skills, and educating patients and their family members regarding their plan of care and clinical pathway. - Strong patient centered approach with emphasis on providing exemplary and world-class customer service - Meticulous attention to detail - Self-motivated and proactive; a team player who knows how to think critically in a fast-paced, challenging environment - Active participant in seeking solutions to problems Hospital for Special Surgery offers a unique work environment, diverse job types and extraordinary career opportunities.
