Your primary focus will be to operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients of all age categories. This will entail MRI examinations using GE/Siemens equipment, while ensuring the highest standards of safety for patients. We'll also rely on you to properly store and maintain equipment, instruct patients on exams, and accurately log and document related information.     Qualifications: - To qualify for this position, you must be a graduate of an accredited / approved radiologic program with a certification in MR, (ARRT). NY State License required and NY State DOH IV injection license preferred. - Minimum of 2 years of MRI scanning experience required. - GE and Siemens scanner experience preferred. - Flexible working hours and excellent organization and communication skills are essential.

This position is operationally responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and scalability for all IT voice and data systems and infrastructure.   This is a key leadership position who will direct the teams in charge of cloud-based and on-prem data and voice services, unified communications, and local and wide-area network infrastructure. This role also works closely with the CTO and peer IT leaders, including Server Administration, End User Computing, Information Security and Enterprise Applications, to design and execute on the company’s technology roadmap. The Senior Director of IT Infrastructure - Networks is a forward-looking technology leader who can develop an infrastructure strategy and drive through to execution and support. As a member of the IT senior leadership team, and reporting to the CTO, the Senior Director is an influential role, making investment and priority trade-off decisions, negotiating and managing vendor contracts, and recruiting, retaining, and developing high performing teams. The Senior Director will provide vision and leadership to a team that includes full-time employees and contractors.     Key Responsibilities - Accountable for a high-performing network infrastructure companywide. Our CSP department is responsible for decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, packaging, sterilizing and safely transporting reusable surgical instruments to our surgical areas. CSP also provides disposable medical supplies to the perioperative areas via surgical case carts.     The mission is to provide customers with products that are 100% clean, complete, sterile and delivered on time. The process is complex due to the vast amounts and variety of surgical instruments found in each tray and meeting the demand of our very busy operating rooms here at HSS. The CSP team prides themselves in being engaged and compliant to regulatory standards for quality and patient safety in order to deliver the best service and products for patients that come to HSS.   In the Central Sterile Technician role, we rely on you to adhere to the mission by ensuring the delivery of our world-renowned patient care, and providing sterile supplies, instruments and equipment required for patients undergoing orthopedic surgical interventions. You will support all patient care areas by properly processing surgical equipment using washers, sterilizers, dryers, and heat sealers. The processing and logging of implants and loaner sets of instruments is also vital to your contribution.

Autonomously and in collaboration with healthcare professionals and other individuals, the NP provides a full range of primary, acute, and specialty healthcare services, including: - Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, infections, and injuries - Ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays - Prescribing medications and other treatments - Managing patients' overall care - Counseling - Educating patients on disease prevention and positive health and lifestyle choices HSS NPs serve pediatric and adult patients in an extensive range of practice settings throughout the hospital and its local and regional ambulatory sites. Their specialty and subspecialty areas include: Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement (ARJR), Anesthesia (PACU/OSCU/SDU), Anticoagulation, Cardiology, Diabetes Care, Intensive Care, Metabolic Bone, Occupational Health, Pain Management, Pediatric Orthopedics, Post-Operative Care, Radiology, Spine, Trauma, Urology, Wound Care, and private practice (physician and surgeon offices).   The urology/smoking cessation nurse practitioner diagnoses, treats, and manages urological issues and promotes tobacco cessation.   The NP supports the pre-surgical screening, inpatient hospitalization, and post-operative care settings. The Urology/smoking cessation NP role: - Provides clinical consultation, assessment, and expertise of urological and tobacco cessation issues during pre-surgical assessment & clearance - Perform procedures such as Foley catheter placement, voiding trials, and urodynamic testing. - Manages patients with post-op urinary retention - Provides instruction on proper urinary catheter insertion and removal  - Identifies contributing factors to urinary medical issues and suggests environmental modifications - Educates the patient, the patient’s family, and any other support persons on care techniques - Educates clinical staff—physicians & surgeons (MDs), physician assistants (PAs), nurse practitioners (NPs), registered nurses (RNs), etc.—on urological complication prevention, and identification and treatment of urological issues; - Creates best practice for Foley use - Increases the socialization of the IPSS Score throughout the hospital and creates recommendations for patients with a high IPSS score during Pre-Surgical Screening - Staff Meetings - Unit-Based Training; In-services - RN Orientation - Review of urology-related policies, protocols, and guidelines - Ensures proper urological equipment and supplies - Coordinates with Infectious Disease Team to decrease CAUTI occurrence rates - Participates in inpatient & perioperative urological committees and RN CAUTI champions - Liaises with New York Hospital’s Urology Service as needed     This NP position is based at the main hospital in the Upper East Side of Manhattan (New York, NY). The research coordinator will be involved in a number of concussion related research projects, ranging from miRNA biomarker studies to drug trails. We are actively enrolling for clinical trials and analyzing data from projects sponsored by GE and the NFL, and Marker AG, to name a few. You would be heavily involved in all aspects of the research lifecycle, including clinical trial studies in development. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain research experience, work directly with patients, and become exposed to daily life at a highly-regarded teaching hospital. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary concussion team and gain experience in an important area of scientific advancement. You may also be involved in the publication of journal articles.    We are looking for a highly organized, meticulous, hard-working, and personable candidate to fill this position. We also seek applicants have strong writing skills, can maintain a high level of professionalism, and are comfortable working with patients and their families. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who plan to apply to medical school, but we are also open to other qualified individuals interested in healthcare and/or clinical research.
