Project Manager, Construction  Full-Time   Role: As the demand for services at HSS continues to grow, HSS is seeking a dynamic individual to fulfill a unique opportunity to assist in the continued strategic growth of our organization.   Working collaboratively with the Project Development, Planning, Design and Construction team, this individual will lead and manage the design and construction for complex built-environment projects involving one or more facilities. In this role, the Project manager will act as the primary liaison with other teams working on both new construction and renovation projects across multiple sites and be responsible for reporting out progress. The team’s work creates state-of-the-art spaces that support HSS’s unparalleled patient outcomes and position as the world leader in musculoskeletal health.   The Project Development, Planning, Design and Construction team develops and oversees the execution of the organization’s strategic facilities master plan, including programming, architectural studies, design, construction, and associated infrastructure upgrades.   The Project Manager will oversee and maintain project management functions for assigned infrastructure and capital construction projects from inception to close out, primarily in the healthcare environment, including but not limited to: Project Development: - During project development, collaborate with leadership on the planning and feasibility phases, supporting the development of programming, estimates, and timelines Project Delivery: - During project delivery, manage the defined project scope, budget, and schedule throughout the project lifecycle - Manage requests for qualifications, bidding, and contracting with architects, consultants, and general contractors - Effectively monitor contractors’ safety management programs including PPE, ILSMs and ICRA - Review and approve applications for payment, change orders, and purchase requisitions - Schedule shut-downs, tie-ins, and in-house activities with the Facilities Engineering team - Coordinate with in-house stakeholders including Materials Management, IT, AV, Security, and the Brand Team for the purchase of furniture, equipment, and signage - Coordinate and schedule work with other departments with particular attention to minimizing disruptions to patient care - Perform field inspections of on-going construction projects to ensure that contractors and other vendors are performing work on-schedule, within budget, and in accordance with the contract documents and HSS facilities standards - Coordinate move-in activities with user departments  Communication and Leadership: - Act as the primary liaison between the HSS project team, HSS end users, and the contracted design and construction professionals, including leading an efficient design process, driving resolution on any changes or issues, and providing day-to-day project oversight and communication with the project team and various levels of leadership - Direct, manage, and communicate detailed project plans, work plans, and Monitor and report progress against the project plan, identify and communicate any impacts and ensure project milestones are achieved. Identify risks and creates risk mitigation plans successfully Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree (e.g., BA, BS) or equivalent combination of education and related experience - Master’s degree (e.g., MA, MS, MBA, MCM) or equivalent preferred - 4+ years work experience in construction project management required Preferred Experience and Proven Abilities - Demonstrated ability to build trust and exercise influence in a complex, multi-departmental, and matrixed environment - Demonstrable ability to execute on complex healthcare projects and to handle multiple projects - Ability to understand, interpret, and make decisions using CPM scheduling - Proficient in project related financials including developing and maintaining anticipated cost report and cash flow forecasting - Demonstrated understanding of construction, architect, vendor/consultant contracts, with an emphasis on GMP construction contracts - Demonstrated capacity to multi-task, impeccable time management, and utilize critical thinking skills to identify and solve problems - An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding - Strong leadership skills & the ability to drive a multi-functional, multi-level team forward on tasks - Able to work effectively when the way forward is not obvious, and resilient in recovering from setbacks and skilled at finding detours around obstacles - Able to take complex ideas to paper for various audience levels - Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications or the ability to actively learn

In collaboration with the PI and/or research team, this candidate may also interact with numerous Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Device Manufacturer and Clinical Research Organizations.   Reporting into the Finance Administrator for the CRA, the Program Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive support including pre/post award assistance for multiple research projects within the assigned Service Lines. The candidate will assist in standardizing and automating systems supporting Research Administration best practices including Lawson’s Grants Management, Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS), and EPIC.     Duties and Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Finance Administrator, the Program Coordinator will provide support including assistance with Clinical Research study start up, portfolio management and study termination by:     - Reviewing and interpret clinical trial protocols/studies for regulatory and budgeting/billing compliance purposes - Assist assigned Service Line research staff in creating study specific budgets for new protocols - Assist the research team to effectively communicate non-standard care services for each protocol and assist with creation of billing grid templates - Collaborate with the Contracts Administrator to vet and finalize relevant CDAs and CTAs - Keep a current understanding of FDA and CMS guidelines for clinical trial billing (Qualifying Clinical Trial (QCT) and Medicare Coverage Analysis (MCA) - Work closely with Sponsored Research on Federal, State and/or Foundation sponsored clinical research grants - Assure IRB approval and ICF is consistent with budget, coverage analysis and agreement before finalizing documents and communicate with IRB Administration - Work with the EPIC Administrator to create study records and billing calendars in EPIC and assist with creating study and billing calendars in CTMS - Assure that QCTs are identified and set up in Epic, E-CAP and Wellspring and that billing is performed in compliance with applicable regulations and payor requirements - Assist with the internal cost center/account set up and monitoring of the account - Monitor GM/CTMS of existing protocols with payment schedules, dollars received, dollars outstanding and amendments - Review invoices as required by various study sponsors and in collaboration with Research Accounting manage collection of all outstanding receivables including milestone management - Assist the research team with the allocation of personnel costs during the quarterly offset process - Assist the Finance Administrator to process applicable personnel change forms - Other special projects as necessary including training and education to the assigned service lines regarding the internal startup process MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in related area; Master’s degree preferred. - Proven ability to provide clinical expertise in all phases of clinical research trials. - Two + years’ experience in clinical research as a coordinator or research manager. - Thorough understanding of research guidelines of Federal and non-Federal sponsors supporting research and educational activities, preferably in an academic environment. - Thorough knowledge of applicable regulatory and compliance requirements related to use of human subjects in research, financial conflict of interest, IRB, etc. - Ability to maintain independent judgment; strong organization and communication skills; and a customer service focus across broad and diverse subject areas. - Maintains current knowledge of compliance regulations in all areas of research including QCT/MCAs. - Ability to independently interpret, analyze, and implement appropriate policies in a given situation. - Skill in prioritizing a high volume workload to ensure priorities and other deadlines are met. Demonstrated ability to work in pressure situations to meet deadlines and accommodate interruptions. - Proven ability to assess and contribute to development of automated systems to facilitate award administration. Our CSP department is responsible for decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, packaging, sterilizing and safely transporting reusable surgical instruments to our surgical areas. CSP also provides disposable medical supplies to the perioperative areas via surgical case carts.     The mission is to provide customers with products that are 100% clean, complete, sterile and delivered on time. The process is complex due to the vast amounts and variety of surgical instruments found in each tray and meeting the demand of our very busy operating rooms here at HSS. The CSP team prides themselves in being engaged and compliant to regulatory standards for quality and patient safety in order to deliver the best service and products for patients that come to HSS.   In the Central Sterile Technician role, we rely on you to adhere to the mission by ensuring the delivery of our world-renowned patient care, and providing sterile supplies, instruments and equipment required for patients undergoing orthopedic surgical interventions. You will support all patient care areas by properly processing surgical equipment using washers, sterilizers, dryers, and heat sealers. The processing and logging of implants and loaner sets of instruments is also vital to your contribution.

Working with colleagues who love what they do and are deeply committed to our Mission, you too can be part of our transformation across the enterprise.   Research Assistant Full-Time   The Research Assistant is an integral member of the research team in compliance with all regulatory, institutional, and departmental requirements.  He/she participates in all research study-related activities for the projects in the Anesthesiology department.    Responsibilities:   - Develops and maintains research databases with guidance from Principal Investigator and/or statistician.  - Performs data collection and data entry for studies as requested.  Schedules and conducts subject interviews, follow-up visits and phone calls to obtain data as per protocol.  Ensures accuracy when transcribing data from data collection sheets, medical records, or electronic institutional databases or other source documents into databases. - Performs or helps facilitate informed consent procedures following all regulatory guidelines.  - Participates in protocol development in collaboration with Principal Investigator and co-investigators. Conducts literature searches; actively participates in development meetings; reviews and edits protocol document; prepares study initiation documents. - Prepares initial drafts of protocols and manuscripts as requested by the Principal Investigator or Assistant Director, Research. - Performs IRB submissions for initial approvals, re-approvals, amendments, etc.  Prepares, submits and files IRB and all regulatory documents, ie., data collection sheets, protocol amendments, protocol deviations, adverse event forms, etc. - Prepares information required for reports to research administration as needed. - Ensures that all research related regulatory, institutional, and departmental compliance requirements are met as appropriate. - Conducts statistical data analysis and prepares statistical graphs and tables in preparation for research presentations, abstract and manuscript preparation or for other publications as requested by the Principal Investigator.  - Provides timely progress reports (especially regarding enrollment) for each research project at regular intervals determined by the Assistant Director, Research or Principal Investigator.  - Prepares and maintains orderly files for all research studies, including both electronic and hard copy paper files in regulatory binders.
