Working with colleagues who love what they do and are deeply committed to our Mission, you too can be part of our transformation across the enterprise   GME Coordinator - Per Diem Academic Training Department   Overview: The GME Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the coordination of the HSS Medical Student Programs, Residency Selection and the administration, coordination, and support of graduate medical education programs.    The Coordinator works in collaboration with the GME staff members and Program Director to obtain the required documentation needed for residency recruitment and other GME related activities.    Major Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Overall Operations of the Department - Organize and prepare interview packets and score sheets for Residency Selection Committee (RSC) members - Assist in the coordination and recruitment of interns/resident including, but not limited to: downloading ERAS applications; distributing interview schedules to applicants and faculty members; preparation of interview-day materials/information packets; scheduling appropriate-size conference rooms and ensuring appropriate and adequate catering for said events ensuring budgetary compliance. - Track applicant completion of required documentation - Prepare and distribute rank sheets for RSC members - Enter rank list data into spreadsheet in preparation of ranking meeting - Help coordinate breakout room sessions on interview day to keep the faculty on track - Assists in organizing medical student townhall sessions and the development of medical students’ welcome packet of all required information - Distributes and logs medical student evaluations to ensure timely completion by faculty - Schedules medical students, as appropriate, with the attending physicians and house staff with whom they will work - Submit IT tickets as needed for medical students - Coordinates and assists with proctoring the annual OITE for residents. - Maintains resident and faculty scholarly activity data for GME office and ACGME annual update. - Oversees the monitoring and reporting of resident duty hours, runs monthly duty hour violation report and reports violation to program director and associate program director. - Monitor trainee case logs quarterly to ensure appropriate progression throughout the academic year. - Maintain electronic resident call/assignment schedule information on current accessible system - Coordinate, facilitate and distribute the timely submission of the monthly resident call schedules. - Coordinate bi-annual meetings with the Program Director(s) ensuring compliance with ACGME regulations. - Maintains constant communication with GME Team members and brings to team members attention incomplete documentation. - Collects and performs initial review of required GME documentation for GME trainees. - Assist in planning and execution of annual orientations. - Perform administrative duties, including data entry and special projects - Assist with Education Institute wide initiatives as requested Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in business administration, health care administration or related field or equivalent in education and experience. - 1-3 years administrative experience in administration and/or office management in an academic health care setting preferred. - Demonstrate initiative, as well as an aptitude for problem solving - Demonstrated leadership experience (i.e., leading projects and/or teams) - Demonstrated stellar written and oral communication skills with the ability to synthesize education team requests as well as work with faculty and staff at all levels skills - Must be able to prioritize assignments on a daily, quarterly and yearly basis as reflected by the various reporting requirements of the ACGME and other regulatory organizations as well as the fluctuating needs of the residents. - Must be able to work independently while coordinating multiple assignments. - Must possess excellent customer service skills adaptable to the changing needs of each residency cohort. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

This includes obtaining any loaners that may be necessary and replacing any items that can no longer be repaired. The position requires maintenance of any documentation relative to the above, as with ensuring proper follow-up with any and all tasks associated with the purchase and/or repair of the item.   The successful candidate will possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting with changing priorities.  Candidate will possess a Bachelors degree, a minimum of two to three years’ experience in healthcare inventory management, and proof of successful completion of a Central Processing Technician course along with CRCST certification. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.  Competence in the use of word office suite and software used for inventory control and management.

Our CSP department is responsible for decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, packaging, sterilizing and safely transporting reusable surgical instruments to our surgical areas. CSP also provides disposable medical supplies to the perioperative areas via surgical case carts.     The mission is to provide customers with products that are 100% clean, complete, sterile and delivered on time. The process is complex due to the vast amounts and variety of surgical instruments found in each tray and meeting the demand of our very busy operating rooms here at HSS. The CSP team prides themselves in being engaged and compliant to regulatory standards for quality and patient safety in order to deliver the best service and products for patients that come to HSS.   In the Central Sterile Technician role, we rely on you to adhere to the mission by ensuring the delivery of our world-renowned patient care, and providing sterile supplies, instruments and equipment required for patients undergoing orthopedic surgical interventions. You will support all patient care areas by properly processing surgical equipment using washers, sterilizers, dryers, and heat sealers. The processing and logging of implants and loaner sets of instruments is also vital to your contribution.
