Position Overview:
LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse
Scope of Duties:
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams (Registration, Radiology, Physician Practice Management, Physical Therapy)
- Escorting patients to exam rooms and preparing them for examinations, reviewing patient statuses and assisting in obtaining patient data.
- Obtain PCR nasal swabs for pre-surgical patients

Contribute to our mission of improving mobility and enhancing the quality of life for all. As an essential member of our interdisciplinary team you will assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Duties will include but are not limited to: ventilator care management, patient/family education, and application of airway clearance techniques/devices, pulmonary function testing, and electrocardiograms.
The successful candidate will require an associate degree and NYS Licensed (RRT). Will be expected to maintain BLS certification, as well as being familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within respiratory care. Responsibilities
- Reviews inpatient and ambulatory surgical records to identify the appropriate principal diagnosis, secondary diagnoses and procedures for facility and professional fee.
- Sequences ICD/CPT codes according to hospital, CMS, and coding clinic guidelines.
- Meets established department productivity standards for coding inpatient, AMS, and outpatient records.
- Contact physicians using the query process to clarify diagnoses or obtain more specific documentation regarding patients’ treatment.
- Enters ICD/CPT codes and patients’ information into hospital financial system or computerized department abstracting system which can be used reliably for hospital reimbursement, research, education, and strategic planning.
- Meets established department productivity standards or abstracting inpatient, AMS, and outpatient records.
- Reports information timely and accurately to New York State DOH registries for patients meeting requirements to oncology (Tumor Registry), Alzheimer's and Congenital Malformations.
- Ensures any required coding changes or corrections from 2nd level reviews are completed timely and accurately.

The Role
HSS would like to recruit an Associate General Counsel. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, this person will serve as a key member of the hospital’s Legal Department, supporting many areas of hospital operations. The Associate General Counsel will handle a wide range of medical staff issues, including medical staff bylaws and credentialing and professional conduct matters. The Associate General Counsel will handle physician employment agreements, research employment agreements, and medical services agreements. The Associate General Counsel will support the hospital’s Education Institute by handling affiliation agreements, alliance agreements, graduate medical education issues and related workgroups. The Associate General Counsel will also support the Marketing department by reviewing agreements, reviewing marketing collateral and handling communications/media issues. The Associate General Counsel will support various other hospital Departments through policy development and review and workgroup participation. The Associate General Counsel will handle employment matters such as EEOC complaints and human resources policies. The Associate General Counsel may also assist the Compliance department on internal investigations.

Senior Director of HR Shared Services
Based in NYC
The Senior Director of HR Shared Services will initially be responsible for hands-on leadership of the infrastructure work required to set up an HR function that is ready for implementing Workday, including process mapping and reviewing, streamlining, improving and creating processes, and defining the work of a shared services team. The Senior Director will then lead the establishment of the Shared Services team (addressing level 1 and level 2 inquires), including defining roles, selecting and training team members. Finally, the Senior Director will be responsible for leading the Shared Services team, including setting service standards, creating team awareness across HSS, and establishing a team culture of HR Support Excellence and continuous process improvement. Over time, additional areas of responsibility may be added to the HR Shared Services function.
Accountabilities:
- Work across HR to engage all team members in the documentation of all processes performed. On an ongoing basis, continue to revisit processes and identify on-going process improvements and opportunities to leverage technology, including, but not limited to Workday.
- Partner strategically with HR Leadership team to develop a vision, structure and goals for the Shared Services team and the HR Operations function. Lead the implementation of determined vision and structure.
- Develop the model by which the HR Shared Services team will address inquiries and interact with HR SME teams. Implement model, including training team members and creating tools and resources.
- Establish SLAs and KPIs to measure operational and individual performance. Leverage data and create dashboards to report on trends, opportunities, effectiveness of model, and progress against goals
- Drive HSS cultural adoption of shared services model and manager and employee self-service.
- Develop, coach and engage team members to retain high performers and raise skill levels and competence of all team members.
- Proactively participate as a leader within HR and be a collaborative partner across HR and model a transformational approach to HR service delivery
- Be the subject matter expert for HR Shared Services.
