Working with colleagues who love what they do and are deeply committed to our Mission, you too can be part of our transformation across the enterprise   Research Assistant  Full-Time     Duties and Responsibilities: - Under supervision from the Research Manager, manages and executes CRP/IRB submissions for initial approvals, continuing reviews, amendments, protocol deviations, and adverse events. Ensures timeliness and accuracy of all submissions.  - Oversees and conducts the screening and informed consent processes for research studies. This includes phone and face-to-face interactions with patients. Updates screening tracking worksheets on a routine basis.    - Administers surveys (phone/email/in-person) and coordinates research-related visits and follow-ups with all relevant multidisciplinary teams. This may involve off-site visits at sports organizations and other locations. - Ensures subject/investigator compliance with research procedures and escalates issues to supervisor as needed. - Manages data collection specific to research studies. This includes the supervision of multidisciplinary teams involved in the successful conduct of the study. Performs audit and quality checks on a routine basis to make sure data entry is up to date and complete. - Compiles final dataset for analysis and assists in the interpretation and summarization of results. - Provides updates on study progress to supervisor and Principal Investigators. - Participates in the preparation of manuscripts for publication and abstracts/presentations for conference meetings.  - Assists with literature searches, as necessary. - Maintains and enhances professional growth through participation in seminars, educational sessions hosted by Clinical Research Administration, and Physiatry Grand Rounds. A qualified candidate has the ability to communicate in an effective manner with management, clinical staff, and patients at HSS.

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Individual Giving and working as part of a highly collaborative team, the AD will develop and maintain a portfolio of annual leadership and major gift level prospects and donors. The position will work with the AVP, Individual Giving and Development Directors to manage, and in some cases directly manage, partnerships with service chiefs, physicians, and service line administrators. The AD will stay informed and maintain best practices for development and help to build a culture of philanthropy across the HSS enterprise. The position will manage the Rheumatology Council and partner with the AVP and Division leadership in maximizing the impact of this volunteer group.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage and build a portfolio of annual leadership and major gift level donors and prospects. This includes planning, and executing strategies from donor discovery through cultivation, solicitation and close of gifts in coordination with appropriate partners. - Actively work to renew and upgrade past donors and to secure new donors, with a focus on building a pipeline of supporters at $25K+ level. - Serve as a fundraising lead and content expert for an assigned service lines and/or funding priorities. Developing funding opportunities, proposals and outreach materials, and identifying prospective donors for those needs. - Successfully partner within service lines, including partnering with physician, physician and volunteer leaders, and other key stakeholders. Provide comprehensive, strategic support to physicians and volunteers in donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. - Facilitate and participate in face-to-face briefings, solicitations, and gift negotiations independently and in partnership with AVP, Development Directors, physicians, and others - Manage the Rheumatology Council, including the creation of a full-year plan for committee meetings, communications (meeting reminders, presentations, etc.), and strategic engagement of members. Track and analyze participation of Council members throughout the year, assessing them for greater involvement at HSS and and/or major gift potential. - As well as prepping presentations, written and verbal communications, and meeting materials on behalf of the CDO and AVP. - Perform additional related duties as required.

The Patient Access Specialist is an expert in areas of customer service, registration/scheduling, insurance, and HSS Standards of Care. The Perioperative Care Navigator is committed to working collaboratively and serving patients with exceptional care and promoting the mission, vision, and core values of Hospital for Special Surgery.  Reporting to the Vice President of Inpatient Nursing, the Perioperative Care Navigator will support perioperative teams across multiple service lines.  Given the nature of this role, this position will have a hybrid work environment, including telehealth and in person connections with patients and the interdisciplinary team.     Key Responsibilities:   Patient Management  - Liaise with patients throughout their treatment journey, from surgical booking to surgery. - Conduct patient outreach calls to assess individual needs and identify specialized pre-operative referrals. - Provide education and support to patients in connection with their treatment/discharge plans. Clinical Team Coordination  - Gather and evaluate information from various clinical teams to determine appropriate patient discharge disposition. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate scheduling surgeries and appointments, optimize patient experience, and coordinate post-discharge care. Administrative Management  - Adapt workflow according to patient care needs. - Maintain standardized care pathways or protocols to provide guidance for the delivery of perioperative care and streamline processes. - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with ability to derive practical solutions independently in a fast-paced environment, escalating issues appropriately when necessary.  - Monitor care management processes.

Your primary focus will be to operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients of all age categories. This involves but is not limited to providing emotional and psychosocial support for hospitalized and ambulatory children in group settings and at the bedside at the Lerner Children’s Pavilion; creating and implementing individualized treatment plans for developmentally appropriate preparation and support; and planning and implementing therapeutic play activities.
