Candidate will be expected to escalate issue to management and keep manager and director informed of high visibility issues.  Successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, work to elevate the skills of the Desktop team. Candidate should have an associate degree or comparable work experience equivalent. 2-5 years’ experience preferred.                              Job Duties and Responsibilities - Excellent customer service skill. Create Exec “how to” documents, “as built” and white papers for support staff configurations: hardware, applications, home offices etc. - Excellent written and verbal communications skills - Follow through and follow up as well as managing up (keeping Director informed) - Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to user incidents and requests. - Provide technical assistance and support for incoming concerns and issues related to systems, software, remote access, and hardware. - Document internal procedures (e.g., How to’s) - Ask questions and listen to user to determine root cause of issues (RCA) - Work through the problem-solving process with customers, empowering them to do the same in the future. - Run diagnostic problems to resolve problems. - Report significant and recurring issues to Engineering support team and work collaboratively to automate fixes. - Collect feedback to determine patterns and issues such that they can be resolved, or FAQs can be provided to user to ease in troubleshooting. - Expert level Microsoft support skills - Hardware support - Familiarity with remote session software to assist users - Mac support a plus - Engineering skills a plus

Working with colleagues who love what they do and are deeply committed to our Mission, you too can be part of our transformation across the enterprise.   Telecom Engineer, Practice Optimization  Telecom Full-Time (Hybrid 3 Days In-Office)    Overview:    The Telecom Engineer of Physician Practice Optimization will help achieve HSS’ organizational access strategy by working on all physician office telecom related matters including the implementation and maintenance of practice phone menus, as well as opportunities to expand support for physician offices to contact centers including HSSConnect.  The knowledge and expertise that this individual will obtain while in the role will allow them to become a liaison between the operational and IT teams; offering recommendations on how best to leverage the functionality available along with helping to identify opportunity for further enhancements.   Reporting to the Assistant Director of Telecommunications, the Telecom Engineer of Physician Practice Optimization will fill an essential role in expanding access to HSS’ world-renowned musculoskeletal care physicians.  As a key member of the physician practice optimization team, this role will have a dotted line reporting structure to the operational leader of the Practice Optimization Initiative.  The work performed will be directly aligned to the organization’s strategic access goals across all ambulatory locations, therefore this position will allow for a hybrid work environment with the ability to work from home on days, and at times may be required to travel onsite to our ambulatory facilities when working with the physicians or their practice team.   Key Responsibilities: - Data gathering from practices (hardware, extensions, user accounts, hours of operations, etc.) - Submitting voice recordings, programming phone menus, and testing/QA with practices - Implementing, administering, and troubleshooting Avaya’s voice systems and coordinate resolution of related issues - Analyzing current configurations and recommending upgrades and changes to system - Serving as project manager coordinating Telecom requirements for installs and upgrades - Participating in technical training sessions relating to integrated telephony applications - Data structure handoff with data analytics team for dashboard and analytical needs - Partner with physician practices and service lines on all physician office telecom needs - Maintaining central registry of phone mapping and voice recordings for all physician offices - Developing educational training, and communication materials for both the practices and leadership team and conduct training on new functionality when applicable - Setting up and maintaining office staff work from home telecom infrastructure - Troubleshooting and issue resolution

Responsible for translating those use cases and workflow needs into user stories to be added to an Agile backlog - Answers clarification questions from development team and also liaisons with the business to obtain further clarification when necessary. - Actively work on all aspects of Salesforce implementations through the maintenance stage - Coordinate and communicate with patient referrals and access personnel, including managers, representatives from other business entities and physician’s offices - Routinely perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details and other build, design and configuration issues associated with Epic use - Collaborate effectively with Salesforce premier support using appropriate tools - Develop relationships, trust, and credibility to successfully manage multiple demands; maintain daily communications with Salesforce end-users - Review software, workflows, analyze business operations, and collaborate with colleagues, HSS Business Representatives/Subject Matter Experts and end-users to ensure systems are suitable for the organization’s HSS Connect, patient access and physician’s practice needs - Assume responsibility for developing and documenting internal procedures used in conjunction with Salesforce applications; play an integral role in supporting the HSS adoption and engagement strategy (i.e., train, support and optimize access, referrals, scheduling, clinical, financial & practice management solutions) - Provide on-site support during go-live and system upgrade scenarios; provide on-call support on a rotating basis - Assist with all Quality Assurance processes including change management and testing efforts; participate in disaster recovery measures - Participate in user meetings, in-services and internal team meetings; Provide subject-matter-expert knowledge transfer to colleagues - Remain current on Salesforce technologies and obtain certification in Salesforce applications as warranted Physical Working Conditions - Comfortable indoor area - Sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about the department - Ability to travel to and from mid-town Manhattan to the main Hospital campus and various offsite locations as required
