Your primary focus will be performing diagnostic medical radiography on patients of all age categories. This will entail radiographic examinations using stationary and/or mobile equipment, while ensuring the highest standards of safety for patients. We will also rely on you to properly store and maintain equipment, instruct patients on exams, and accurately log and document related information.

Provides guidance and instruction, communicating and administering policies and procedures. Performs clinical and/or administrative functions necessary to the efficient operation of the department. Coordinates the training program of new staff either hired into FL or being cross-trained.  Strong Musculoskeletal XRAY and MRI imaging knowledge highly preferred. - Ensures the effectiveness of the technical imaging service. - Ensures efficient use of Imaging Department’s multi-site resources. - Develops programs which address quality improvement safety systems enhancement and streamlining of work. - Ensures Optimal Customer Service. - Works with other counterparts within department and HSS Enterprise for overall organizational improvement. - Develops operating policies and procedures (protocols) in conjunction with the Administrator, Physicists and Division Chief. - Coordinates on-going training and continuing education programs for staff and students. - Advances team and self-knowledge in musculoskeletal XRAY and MRI imaging.  - In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

As part of a comprehensive initiative to deliver surgical and non-surgical care across multiple specialties, we will provide advanced imaging, a physician clinic, and rehabilitation and sports performance. The state-of-the art facility located in West Palm Beach, will span more than 50,000 square feet, and will reside in close proximity to the airport and major roads.   Hospital for Special Surgery, #1 in Orthopedics for the last 12 years, is currently looking for an experienced and energetic Full Time Certified Radiologic Technologist (RT) for our Wellington office specializing in fractures, trauma, arthroscopic surgery, and reconstructive surgery.

Our fellowship-trained radiologists are highly skilled in the interpretation of musculoskeletal ultrasound and routinely perform ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal interventional procedures. Our specialized technologists are uniquely trained in this high-volume musculoskeletal ultrasound practice. The Department focuses on both the imaging diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions/diseases and the treatment of specific conditions utilizing image guidance.   Position Summary:   The Sonographer position requires an individual trained at an accredited sonography program to apply learned skills to outpatient and inpatient procedures/studies in a hospital department setting. All functions are performed consistent with their education and training, and in accordance with facility, protocols, policies, and procedures, and applicable professional standards while ensuring the highest standards of safety for patients. The sonographer is also expected to properly store and maintain equipment, instruct patients on exams, and accurately log and document related information.
