The Security Analyst will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the Epic Security team. The analyst will also be expected to maintain the Epic SER (Provider) database. He/she will work with members of the Users and Security Workgroup, the Provider (SER) Workgroup, Epic Project Teams, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and end-users to tailor the system to fit the organizations’ needs, fulfilling Epic security requests, monitoring of client activity and analyzing and troubleshooting security issues, often under stressful conditions. The position reports to the Epic Security Director but the Security Analyst may also be called upon to help with other security related tasks, so a working knowledge of both Epic security and general security issues would be highly recommended. The Epic Security Analyst routinely performs in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, audits, and other technical issues associated with the use of EPIC software; is responsible for developing and documenting the internal procedures that will be used in conjunction with Epic applications, and will design, build, test, install and maintain those solutions. The Epic Security Analyst is expected to use critical thinking skills in providing systems solutions to meet business needs. Responsibilities - Timely processing of various Epic user provisioning requests - Under the supervision of the Epic Security Director, participate in the activities of the Epic Users and Security / SER (Provider) Workgroup - Facilities Security/SER-related meetings - Perform timely processing of various Epic system access requests - Assist in special projects, such as application go-lives, upgrades, enhancements, etc. Help IT staff as necessary migrate data from the various environments within Epic using standard utilities - Assist with Epic upgrade planning and testing - Maintain Nova Projects - Collaborate with the various Epic teams to ensure system security and integrity - Maintain competency by participating in continuing education and seminars specific to job responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Clinical Services for the region, the Team Lead provides essential onsite clinical guidance and communication of daily assignments to the nursing staff at the direction of and in the absence of the Manager, Clinical Services. The Team Lead also serves in a clinical capacity by providing direct clinical support for physicians and nursing services as needed.   Serving as a Team Lead, they will problem solve amongst nursing staff and doctors within the facility, troubleshoot daily clinical operational issues, mentor nursing staff and build relationships with physicians as a clinical expert in conjunction with, and in the absence of, the Manager, Clinical Services.   Responsibilities Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:   Clinical (80%)   Support physician office visits and other clinical activities. - Room patients, including preparation for exams, reviewing past medical history, and obtaining patient data. - Assist with procedures, including but not limited to suture/staple removal, cast application and removal, EKG, venipuncture, and injections. - Foster effective patient throughput. Administrative (20%)   Support the Manager, Clinical Services in the management of the nursing staff.  - Daily schedule and staffing assignments (coordinating per diems, vacations, callouts, etc.). - Physician room and dictation station assignments. - Primary point of clinical contact onsite in absence of Manager, Clinical Services.   Support the Manager, Clinical Services in ensuring compliant and competent nursing practice for the site. - Monitor par levels for supplies, ordering as needed. - Check expiration dates of current supplies in the closet, medication buckets, and on all medications and vials. - Check the automated external defibrillator (AED) daily and alert the Manager, Clinical Services when the battery needs to be changed.  - Complete temperature logs on medication and specimen refrigerator and freezer. Experience - Required: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience while working in a medical office setting at HSS; Preferred: Currently an employee at HSS Midtown. - Demonstrated basic knowledge of orthopedic and outpatient care as well as a working knowledge of processes involved in physician practices with strong organizational and prioritizing skills. - Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and display a positive attitude towards assignments and others. - Proficiency in Epic clinical workflows.
