Casual Clinical Nutritionist I
Inpatient Nutrition

( Every other weekend and 2 - 3 weekdays/ week)
We are seeking a nutritionist to join our dynamic team of nutrition professionals in the Department of Food and Nutrition Services at Hospital for Special Surgery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with the interdisciplinary health care team in the Nation’s #1 ranked orthopedic hospital.
Clinical Nutritionist I (19.5 hours/week)
Position Requirements:
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal, team building and customer service skills
- Ability to take initiative, and communicate with the team to ensure delivery of quality patient care; participation in daily interdisciplinary rounds
- Provide nutrition care including nutrition assessment and education
- Ability to handle workload efficiently
- Leadership/participation in projects and quality data processing
- Participation in outpatient nutrition counseling, community education and social media services
- Strong computer skills; experience with Epic and CBORD preferred
Schedule
- 8:00am-4:00pm
- Flexible as needed
Credentials
- RDN
- Certification in New York State (CDN) or eligibility required
- 1-2 years related experience preferred
Position is not benefit eligible.
