Project Coordinator


Key Responsibilities

  • Manages 3-4 simultaneous small to medium IT projects
  • Develops workplans and ensures effective scope, timeline, issues, risk and communication management throughout
  • Utilizes project management methodologies and time management skills
  • Provides structured direction to cross-functional project teams, ensuring adherence to agreed project timelines
  • Works to control change and (where applicable) adjust scope, budget and timeline within approved policies and procedures
  • Produces timely project summaries and high level reports
  • Ensures effective communication with approved project governance and stakeholders
  • Provides meaningful project status reports including progress against the schedule, costs, timeline, issues and risks
  • Identifies and mitigates project issues/risks
  • Keeps risks visible, staying ahead of emerging issues and dynamics
  • Ensures alignment of project goals to customer expectations
  • Apply proper quality assurance and user acceptance of solutions prior to implementation
  • Adheres to approved Project Management Office policies/procedures and contribute to the constant advancement of project management practices at HSS IT
  • Completes other duties as assigned 


  • 1-3 years in IT project implementations involving software, equipment deployment, servers, networking, storage and/or back-up
  • Expert level proficiency with MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – proven ability to lead through implied authority
  • Demonstrated success working in and leading cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree required (MS or MBA preferred)
  • Experience with MS Project or other project scheduling software strongly preferred
  • PMP or ITIL certification preferred
