Practice Support Specialist
Provide our world-renowned healthcare team with comprehensive administrative support. In this position, you will perform office duties and assist your supervisor and/or physician with a wide range of tasks. Your key responsibilities will include completing registration, collecting payments, maintaining records, authorizing medications, scheduling appointments, scheduling meetings, collecting data for preparation of various reports, word processing, and answering phones for the department. Responding to and anticipating the needs of your assigned department will be vital to your role.
To qualify you must be an experienced medical secretary with an in-depth understanding of medical office workflows, systems, and processes.
A service orientation, excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to critically think and escalate issues appropriately will be essential to this job.
Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verifications, and familiarity with billing/collection function required.
Minimum of High School diploma/equivalent with at least two years of hospital based MD office/healthcare experience required. Associates degree highly desirable.
