Administrative Assistant

Pain Management Service

Full-time

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides shared administrative office assistance to 3-4 pain management physicians and their respective office managers as directed, including: answering phones; scheduling patient appointments; pre-certifying patients, securing insurance authorizations; ordering tests as directed by physician; scheduling patient procedures with HSS booking office
  • Other related duties as designated by MD and/or office manager

Qualifications

Department Requirements:

  • Displays a positive attitude toward work assignments, performance feedback, and interactions with co- workers, patients, families, and visitors
  • Willingly adheres to Department and Hospital policies and procedures
  • Maintains computer literacy, including proficiency in Outlook email and E-learning
  • Attends Department meetings regularly and punctually

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Minimum 2 years prior medical office or hospital experience preferred

 

Working Conditions: Physical Requirements

Physical: Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight.

Environmental: Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature, and noise. 

Hazards: OSHA Category I: Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, and other possibly infectious materials.

Pay Range - Minimum

USD $29.12/Hr.

Pay Range - Maximum

USD $34.06/Hr.
