OR Scheduler

Full-Time

 

Overview:

 

Epic/Email

  • Monitor the WESTSIDEORSCHEDULING email inbox and address inquiries accordingly.
  • Monitor the surgical depot in Epic throughout the day.
  • Review requests for date /information change, cancellation, not ready to schedule, and requests to schedule and execute requests accordingly.
  • Review each procedure’s CPT code to ensure that they are WASC-approved CPT codes.
  • Review case length and adjust according to historical data.
  • Check the case authorization status for the following day's cases and inform the BOM of any pending or denied status. Authorizations should be reviewed prior to finalizing the case order for the following day.
  • Organize the case order in Epic according to surgeons’ historical preferences.
  • Request case order preference from MD offices for the following day. Send confirmation email to MD offices and the ASC team once the case order is confirmed in EPIC.
  • Communicate with the ASC team any add-on cases, cancellations, or procedure changes that may impact the schedule for the next 2 business days or less.

HIQ

  • Review HIQ platform for block requests, releases, and swaps, and approve and deny according to WASC block policy.
  • Communicate open and available block time to credentialed MDs and their Surgical Schedulers.

Registration/PAS

  • Provide reception/registration services at the ASC when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Administrative

  • Upon request, provide data collection and required statistics for service research and ASC operations. Ex: historical case length data.

Qualifications

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D. required; business school or college preferred
  • One year of account management required

Pay Range - Minimum

USD $34.85/Hr.

Pay Range - Maximum

USD $35.82/Hr.
