Implant Retrieval Lab Technician
Biomechanics
Full-Time
Overview:
Job responsibilities:
- Assist with the operation of the implant retrieval lab, including but not limited to coordination with the Pathology Department for implant pickup visits, cleaning, cataloging, and appropriate storage of retrieved implants
- Participate in implant retrieval research projects under the supervision of a principal investigator or research engineer: sample selection, data collection and analysis, database management, and drafting of manuscript/conference abstracts
- Participate in weekly Biomechanics laboratory meetings and Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement grand rounds and other meetings and conferences when required
- Perform administrative tasks, including but not limited to ordering supplies, managing inventory of supplies, and interacting with vendors
- Maintain equipment and schedule routine and other required service as needed.

- Excellent organization, multitasking skills, strong attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Quick learner and able to adapt to changing conditions
- Great interpersonal skills, team player
- Ability to lift 20 to 30 pounds when handling bins of stored implants
- Proficiency in MS Office software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
