Pharmacy Technician

Full-Time

Overview:

Under direct supervision of a staff pharmacist/pharmacy supervisor, fills routine orders for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals. Ensures an appropriate and orderly supply of stock in the unit-dose, intravenous admixture, outpatient, floor stock areas of the pharmacy delivers medication in a timely manner to the Perioperative and Inpatient Units. Provides pharmaceutical care to the HSS community for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

Minmum Requirements:

The successful candidate must be a certified pharmacy technician and a minimum of one year previous hospital experience required. Outstanding organizational skills, supply management, and elementary arithmetic are essential. High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Registration with NY State preferred.
