Director of Pediatric Rehabilitation and Performance

(Physical Therapist)

Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) is currently seeking the next leader of Pediatric Rehabilitation and Performance.

We are looking for a physical therapist with solid clinical and leadership experience in the world of pediatric rehabilitation to lead our multidisciplinary team of PTs, OTs, SLPs, rehabilitation technicians and administrative professionals within our new state of the art HSS Pediatric Rehabilitation and Young Athlete Center. This flagship location offers the opportunity to practice in a dynamic out-patient environment and collaborate with world class colleagues across multiple disciplines.

 

In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of pediatric rehabilitation at HSS and with our partnerships.  As a member of our supportive interdisciplinary team, you will also have the opportunity to provide direct clinical intervention in our outpatient setting working with children ages newborn through 21, lead program development and educational and research endeavors.

 

The ideal candidate must have exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to influence people, build relationships and collaborate with MDs and multi-disciplinary team members.  Knowledge of general hospital management and practice is preferred.  Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills coupled with excellent organization and project management skills are a must.  Reports to AVP, Rehabilitation and Performance.

  • Full daily operational oversight
  • Quality oversight
  • Education, training and mentorship for peds staff
  • Providing direct patient care
  • Program Development - Creating strategic initiatives to drive excellence, innovation and growth
  • Monitoring of key performance indicators
  • Clinical excellence: Ensure clinical consistency across service locations
  • Strategic planning
  • Fiscal oversight
  • Partnership with Pediatric service line and interdisciplinary team

 

Qualifications

Requirements include:

  • Current NYS Physical Therapy licensure
  • Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy, DPT preferred
  • 7+ years experience in Pediatric Rehabilitation
  • 5+ years supervisory experience
  • Advanced computers skills: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent multi-disciplinary communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to influence others and develop teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • PCS board certification, preferred

Pay Range - Minimum

USD $150,000.00/Yr.

Pay Range - Maximum

USD $175,000.00/Yr.
