Database Manager

Development

 

 

The Database Manager is a key member of the Development Department and reports to the Director, Advancement Services. This position provides essential administrative support throughout the department and includes, but is not limited to, updating activity in the departmental database; work with Director to manage all aspects of Raiser’s Edge database including data quality and integrity; import and exports; analysis and retrieval. The ideal candidate is data-driven, analytical, tech-savvy, process-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects. This individual is responsible for ensuring high standards of quality, consistency, and accuracy across all development records.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Ensure that all fundraising teams have the information necessary to perform their duties by maintaining up-to-date constituent records, mapping relationships between existing constituents, adding/formatting new contact information and mailing addresses.
  • Manage the data processes for grateful patient program. Includes; Processing monthly patient file, working with mail shop to ensuring timely mailings, evaluating processes to increase efficiency, documenting workflow.
  • Perform regular imports, exports, global add/change of constituent data: Gifts, Actions, Attributes, etc.
  • Collaborate with HR and Medical Affairs to keep up to date list of Medical Staff and Hospital Leadership
  • Collaborate with Research and Ambassador Services teams to enter all AMS, IP, SPU and Navigation Ambassadors. Including confirming correct contact and patient data using EPIC, Raiser’s Edge and Lexis-Nexis; also building out record to link to family members associated with a guarantor using EPIC, Raiser’s Edge and Lexis-Nexis.
  • Maintain data integrity by performing weekly/monthly/quarterly cleanup projects. Includes: duplicate identification, portfolio cleanliness, data appends, NCOA.
  • Assist with process and procedure creation and documentation for all data related projects.
  • Assist with creation and maintaining documentation of definitions and business rules required for data integration between Raiser’s Edge and other fundraising products. (Luminate Online/DonorDrive/Windfall/Wealth X
  • Gift entry and gift acknowledgement as needed.
  • Gain understanding of the department’s job function, goals, and vision, and how they relate to the overall organization and mission of HSS.
  • Performs additional administrative functions as required.

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 3-5 years experience working in Raiser’s Edge; experience with Luminate Online and/or Omatic products preferred.
  • MS Office proficiency with intermediate/advanced skill in Excel
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
