Medical Assistant, HSS Florida

 

 

Hospital for Special Surgery, #1 in Orthopedics for the last 11 years, is currently looking for an experienced and energetic Full Time Medical Assistant for one of our physician offices.  In this role you will provide comprehensive administrative support and direction to an HSS physician practice, overseeing day-to-day operations and contributing to an environment of clinical excellence.

 

Ensuring the delivery of the highest quality of patient care, you will assist the Physician in providing comprehensive attention to patients and families, while working in an environment that commands clinical excellence every day. Your duties will include escorting patients to exam rooms and preparing them for examination, providing input for patient care plans, reviewing patient status, and assisting in obtaining patient data. Other responsibilities will entail monitoring changes in patient condition, suture/staple removal, and assisting physician with minor procedures.

 

This office is located in West Palm Beach, FL.

  • Experience with Epic preferred
  • Knowledge of healthcare and health insurance, required
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, preferred
  • The successful candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) and be a Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant/Nursing Technician/EMT or Military Corpsman with minimum 1 year experience in orthopedic practice or other surgical subspecialty in an ambulatory setting.
