Hospital for Special Surgery's Rehabilitation Department division of Sports Rehabilitation & Sports Performance is actively seeking a Physical Therapist Clinical Supervisor to join our flagship Upper East Side-Main Campus Center, in early 2019.    This dynamic setting offers the opportunity for the physical therapist to practice in an environment where the clientele ranges from recreationally to competitively active.  In addition, this is a direct access center.    In addition to being a clinical expert in the field of sports orthopedic physical therapy, the candidate is expected to participate in staff development mentoring and a willingness to participate in educational initiatives for staff, community and professional audiences.  This position requires strong communication, team building and leadership skills.

To qualify, you must have 7+ years’ experience, with out-patient clinical expertise emphasizing differential diagnosis, examination and treatment of various musculoskeletal pathologies of the spine and extremities; both non-operative and post-operative. A minimum of 5.6 CEU’s (56 hours) in spine and/or manual therapy coursework or in combination with sports specific expertise from an accredited institution is a requirement. New York State licensure is a requirement. APTA certifications including SCS and/or OCS are preferred, but not mandatory.
