    is recruiting for various staff and advanced level Physical Therapist positions

    NYC (West Side & Upper East Side) campuses.

    Hospital for Special Surgery's Rehabilitation Department division of Sports Rehabilitation & Sports Performance is actively seeking multiple sports-orthopedic trained physical therapists to join our flagship Upper East Side-Main Campus Center, and anticipated new sports-focused center on the West Side of NY in early 2019. These dynamic settings offer the opportunity for the physical therapist to practice in an environment where the clientele ranges from recreationally to competitively active.  In addition, these centers will all be direct access clinics.  Clinical positions range from staff physical therapist (minimum 3 years’ experience) to clinical supervisor (7-10+ years’ experience, with appropriate specialization)

     

    To qualify, you must have out-patient clinical expertise with an emphasis in differential diagnosis, examination and treatment of various musculoskeletal pathologies of the spine and extremities; both non-operative and post-operative. A minimum of 5.6 CEU’s (56 hours) in spine and/or manual therapy coursework or in combination with sports specific expertise from an accredited institution is a requirement. New York State licensure is a requirement. APTA certifications including SCS and/or OCS are preferred, but not mandatory. 

     

    Along with clinical expertise, this position requires strong communication, team building, and mentoring skills. The candidate will be a dynamic self-starter and have an excellent customer service approach.
