    Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) is seeking to hire a full time Exercise Physiologist (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist), whose  primary role is to provide general and sport specific exercise training and fitness testing services for clients across the spectrum of age, fitness level, and medical and orthopedic conditions. Familiarity and experience with metabolic testing and metabolic data analysis as well as gait and movement mechanics analysis is a plus. The successful candidate should be flexible to work at multiple locations including the main campus of HSS in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, which includes the Tisch Sports Performance Center, and anticipated centers on the West Side of New York.

    The successful candidate should be comfortable working in an academic setting.  The candidate will be expected to participate in research and present at professional education conferences and community outreach.  This individual will have the opportunity to work closely with the clinicians on the Sports Rehabilitation Team. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with solid testing and training skills as well as superior client skills to join a growing program in a world-renowned academic medical center.




    To qualify you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or related field coupled with a minimum of 2 years training experience with a wide variety of clientele. ACSM or NSCA certification required, as well as CPR certification.
