Located on the West Side of Manhattan, HSS is developing a brand new comprehensive Center that offers physician office visits for medical diagnosis and pre- and post-operative care; radiology services, including digital x-ray and MRI; an ambulatory surgical center (ASC), and PT / Sports Performance. This will be the first one-stop-shop facility of its kind at HSS that contains all of these musculoskeletal services in a single, convenient, location.
This site will be one of several locations for the HSS Sports Medicine Service, a service that boasts a team of 27 orthopedic surgeons and 11 primary care sports medicine physicians dedicated to treating athletic injuries of the musculoskeletal system, with a special focus on shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and foot and ankle injuries. Overall, the Sports Service fields more than 70,000 patient visits each year and performs more than 10,000 surgeries. We have trained more than 100 of the Sports Medicine leaders in institutions all over the world and our physicians serve as team physicians and athletic trainers for 16 professional and college teams. We have a strong focus on basic and clinical research with special focus on the ACL and Shoulder. This site will be the first HSS satellite to offer one stop shopping for athletes of all levels, including state of the art imaging, performance, sports rehabilitation, ambulatory surgery, and physician offices.
Ensuring the delivery of the highest quality of patient care, you will assist the MD's in providing comprehensive attention to patients and families, while working in an environment that commands clinical excellence every day. Your duties will include providing technical support to MDs in all clinical settings, re-stocking anesthesia carts using designated par levels, and delivering completed carts to operating rooms. Other responsibilities will be to assist in cleaning OR’s when cases conclude each day, ensure state of readiness for next OR day, and maintain order in anesthesia supply areas.
High school diploma required, college degree preferred. One to two years of hospital experience, Certified Surgical Technologist Certification, Anesthesia Delivery Systems and Monitoring Certifications also preferred.
