Provide our world-renowned Physicians' medical practices with administrative support and coordination. Acting as liaison to MD office customers including patients, families, hospital staff and departments, you will facilitate the day-to-day office operations. You will be required to provide rotational office coverage among the physician practices as staffing needs indicate. Thereby the ability to adapt to change and work effectively within new teams will be key to your success.
Ensuring the highest level of customer service and patient confidentiality your primary responsibilities will include high volume telephone triage as well as managing inquiries, appointments and scheduling procedures/surgeries. You will also conduct verification of medical insurance and maintain patient billing/collections, authorization of services, and filing of medical reports and test results.
To qualify you must be an experienced medical secretary with an in-depth understanding of medical office workflows, systems, and processes.
A service orientation, excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to critically think and escalate issues appropriately will be essential to this job.
Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verifications, and familiarity with billing/collection function required.
Minimum of High School diploma/equivalent with at least two years of hospital based MD office/healthcare experience required. Associates degree highly desirable.
