    OR Inventory and Distribution


    Job Summary:


    Assists in the general management of the OR Inventory and Distribution Department.  Responsible for the Implant Room receiving and inventory management operations.   This position serves as the primary back-up for the Director and fills in as necessary.

    Position Accountabilities:

    • Exercises Leadership
      • Coaches/counsels/mentors staff

    • Develops / Manages Processes & Systems – Inventory management
      • Maintains inventory accuracy including counts and value
      • Establishes and maintains appropriate inventory levels
      • Manages product expirations
    • Develops / Manages Processes & Systems – QSight software application
      • Assist the Director to ensure item master data accuracy
      • Assist the Director to ensure items in Implant Room/Back-up area are managed through QSight
      • Ensures items delivered are received in QSight/Lawson
    • Exercises Leadership – Departmental Operations
      • Develops competence in all areas of OR Inventory and Distribution
      • Assumes leadership role in absence of Director



    In depth knowledge of:  orthopedic implants and associated supplies; supply and implant inventory management; operating room policies and procedures

    • Bachelors Healthcare Applied Sciences required
    • Masters Business Administration preferred
    • RN or PA licensure preferred

    Experience Required:

    • 5 years in related field. 3 years management experience

    Experience Preferred:

    • 5 years progressive management experience in related field in a hospital surgery setting

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication

    • Supply chain related to orthopedics/spine Implants & OR supplies including:
      • Ordering
      • Receiving
      • Inventory management
