A post-doctoral research position is available immediately in the group of Dr. Barrat at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) Institute as part of the Autoimmunity and Inflammation Program. The ideal candidate for this position has background in immunology and is interested in studies involving innate immunity in the context of human disease (see key refs below). Experience with mouse models is desirable as well as excellent technical capabilities with primary cell cultures and/or strong expertise in molecular biology. The specific details of the project will depend on the experience and interests of the successful applicant.
The HSS Institute is part of the “research miles” in New York and specializes in research in rheumatology and orthopedic. HSS is affiliated with and attached to the New York-Presbyterian Hospital, the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the Weill Medical College of Cornell University with whom HSS shares many Core Facilities.
The applicants should have a Ph.D. in corresponding field and a strong publication record.
