    Partnerships & Strategy Executive

    Position Description

     

    HSS, the world leader in musculoskeletal health, is seeking an executive to lead the organization’s strategy, partnerships and business development capabilities. The position will be responsible for managing new and existing strategic partnerships. A major focus of the position will be to lead and grow HSS’s EmployerConnect program - cultivating relationships with large organizations, demonstrating differentiated value, and building out HSS’s offering portfolio to large employer. Additionally, the position will work with the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Service Lines and HSS’s CEO to help inform and shape the strategic direction of the organization, evolve its enterprise strategic plan, and ensure its execution through an annual operating plan process.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Partnership Management:

    • Identify, develop and manage external partnerships with employers, payers, provider groups, and other large organizations
    • Work as part of cross-functional team to develop and operationalize strategic partnerships
    • Oversee HSS’s EmployerConnect program, with the objective of building formal relationships with several new large employers every year
    • Manage and optimize existing employer partnership portfolio; including annual partnership reviews, ongoing partner relationship building
    • Help develop, build and roll out the next generation of employer offerings

    Strategy Development & Execution:

    • Work with leadership to continue to evolve the organization’s strategic roadmap
    • Oversee annual strategic operating plan, working with leadership team to ensure execution
    • Monitor industry trends, conduct competitive intelligence, and evaluate HSS’s market position on an ongoing basis
    • Integrate the strategic planning process with the budgeting process, and develop tracking and reporting mechanisms to ensure that strategic objectives are measurable
    • Oversee development of internal/external materials around strategy including communications to board members, medical staff, and external audiences, working closely with the CEO

    Qualifications

    Desired Skills & Experience

    • Master’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in management or health care
    • 7+ years of experience in strategic planning, business development, and client relations in a health care environment
    • 5+ years of management experience, developing / mentoring staff
    • Experience in business development, sales, relationship management preferred
    • Experience and comfort level collaborating and working closely with senior-level executives and high-profile individuals
    • Demonstrated track record of success with strong interpersonal and leadership skills

    Supporting Detail

     

    The HSS Partnerships & Strategy executive will report to the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Service Lines at HSS, and will work closely with the CEO, HSS leadership team and its partner organizations. Will be supported by a small team and expected to mentor individuals and also build the team over time.
