    Clinical Informatics Lead


    Hospital for Special Surgery Rehabilitation Department is currently seeking an energetic & passionate Clinical Informaticist to join our team as Clinical Informatics Lead.


    In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for the development and on-going enhancement of clinical applications and assist in all areas of assessment, implementation, reporting and evaluation of new clinical system functionality. The Clinical Informatics Lead will assist Rehabilitation staff to translate the application of the Rehabilitation processes and care into automation to support clinician’s workflow.

    You will directly oversee and lead all aspects of daily operations of Rehabilitation clinical informatics.


    The ideal candidate must have exceptional computer skills, oral and written communication skills, and be able to effectively collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team on a daily basis.  Prior experience working with Epic is preferred. Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills coupled with excellent organization and project management skills are a must.


    Reports to Vice President, Rehabilitation


    Requirements Include:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study
    • 4 years informatics experience
    • 3+ years leadership experience
    • Relevant CIS skillset
    • Advanced computers skills
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Evidence of strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization
    • Ability to represent the team in enterprise-wide meetings, present information and provide consultative advice to team members
    • Strong problem solving skills


    Preferred Qualifications Include:

    • Background in Rehabilitation related field
    • Experience with Epic   
    • Rehabilitation EMR experience
    • Experience with Tableau
